The 9/11 hijackers were funded by the Saudi government, and Bush Jr. protected the Saudis rather than punishing them. Kept the Saudi goverments involvement in 9/11 classified for years. Anyhow, 9/11 was 21 years ago now. Time to move on and let that go.

1. The 9/11 highjackers were members of a terrorist group that the Taliban allied with.....

2. Weather or not Saudis were punished for 9/11 doesn't make the Taliban innocent nor excuse them from supporting terrorist organizations

3. You are the one that brought up the war in Afghanistan. Kinda makes no sense to bring up the war and forget why it was fought ....

How am I stuck in the 19th century? Russia has nukes. That kind of matters when considering our response to these types of matters. Maybe we shouldn't provoke them when they have nukes. If Ukraine has to sacrifice a few pieces of their land that Russia wants and agrees to never join NATO, that sounds fair. I can't really see a better solution outside of prolonged war where too many Ukranians and Russians die. Is that what you want? Do you want Ukraine to fight to the last man or you think it's worth all the death to bleed Russia's finances out a bit and try to beat them by making them go broke? Is that the strategy here?

Why the double standards, you ask? You want me to hold Western leaders to the same standards as dictators? Morality not really being a part of geo-politics is just the truth, but that doesn't mean we can't still criticize politicians or military generals, etc. I have no problem criticizing Putin for his actions, but I can also see how the West and Ukraine with their missteps helped bring this disaster into fruition.
