More like reigned over a tourist attraction in the U.K. She was as real a statesperson as William Shatner is a starship Captain.
Legally speaking the government only presides at the monarch's sufferance. Practically speaking the monarh would need the loyalty of the armed forces to rule (see for example the war of the Three Kingdoms)

The monarch has that loyalty. People tend to forget that British monarchs have a lot of authority they choose not to exercise.

In one speech, Ansari stated that "most women go to hell", and in another, he stated his belief that most women are from hell.
