What's everyone up to right now?
RE: What's everyone up to right now?
Had a package of pictures all ready to mail to one of my aunts only to realize that the post office is closed today.

Settling on a new TV. Hisense has a a $100 rebate on 65" or larger Hisense TVs through the end of the month. I've got 0% financing, and a 65" Hisense U7H, which is almost as good as the popular TCL 6-series mini-LED TV, will come to between $900-1200 with mounting bracket, mounting, and 4-year accident warranty.

Coffee and sparkling water while I take a break from housework.

Got three bins of waste out of the rental house. Had to take some home to put in our bins. One of the neighbors over there graciously offered her bins, so there's one bin less. Replaced some smoke/CO detectors. Who in the actual hell steals smoke detectors...and light bulbs for that matter, ffs?  Huh  They backed up the garbage disposal and left the dishwasher full of stinky water. I guess when you're slumming and not paying rent, maybe you have some shred of pride Rolleyes and don't ask the landlords to fix inoperative shit? We're within 6 weeks of getting rid of this craziness. I'm really pleased that we have a nosy neighbor on one side who is watching out. Of course, I can see where she doesn't want crazy living next to her...

On a better note, we had lamb loin chops, grilled Cremini mushrooms and zucchini and boiled baby potatoes for dinner. I did the spuds (I'm real good at boiling spuds, lol), and one of my sons, who just LOVES to grill food did the rest. I don't have that gene, he got it from his mother's father.

We narrowly missed all that free rent when we were expelled from the apartment, and we never would have left the place in such a state.

Well, some people...but I'm pretty sure you guys aren't them! Somebody stuffed a doggy piddle pad into the kitchen vent. My job tomorrow (along with more clean-up) is to go over and pull that thing out (I'm using a hook on a stick and wearing a mask) to see what the hell that is all about. That vent allows the combustion byproducts from the stove to exit the house. Maybe they were trying to kill themselves?  Huh  Dafuq? Now that I think about it, maybe that's why the smoke/CO detectors are gone. I have receipts for the purchase, but no proof that they were installed. The more I think about it, the creepier it gets. I never wanted to rent the place, my preference was to sell it. We'd've been done with this 4-1/2 years ago.

I imagine such people are part of the reason why rent prices have increased drastically. Which is also why I'm glad we no longer have to rent.

The irony is that we were renting the place to one of my wife's friends at $900 a month below the going rate. Good deeds, and all that, I guess.

Created an FB page for the appreciation of the male form. PG-13, I'm afraid.
