Dude, you’re the one who said it must be low-stress for an org in Washington DC to be taking in migrants, not me.

And, honestly, if it’s legit that necessary to take migrants at the border and ship them to states that aren’t as hostile to immigration as they are, there’s a better way to do it:

• Send them to a place that’s actually equipped to help them.
  
• Give those places a head’s up as to what you’re doing.
  
• If you’re going to stop at someplace like the VP’s home, it’d better be because the bus just happened to break down there.
  
• If you’re going someplace cold, give them something they can warm themselves with. 
  
• Lesson from Martha’s Vineyard #1: be as transparent with them as possible. Don’t lie and say they have a job lined up there unless you actually have a job lined up.
  
• Lesson from Martha’s Vineyard #2: for fuck’s sake, if you’re going to give them a summons to appear in immigration court, at least give them one for a court that’s actually close to where you’re putting them.
