Apparently, employees of Fox News have been unsuccessfully attempting to get Tucker fired.

This news sounds encouraging

Quote:The number of people taking domestic flights is dropping across Europe as travellers opt for more sustainable options.

‘Flight shame’ seems to be working - at least for short-haul trips within a country’s borders.

According to new Eurocontrol data, 38 per cent fewer domestic flights took off in Germany in 2022 than in 2019.

In Lithuania and Finland, such trips declined by 38 per cent and 35 per cent respectively.

The drop can be attributed to “environmental pressure,” the Eurocontrol report suggests.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

The Kentucky mass shooter’s AR-15 will be auctioned and sold to the highest bidder.

Kentucky law prevents law enforcement from destroying confiscated firearms, even when they're used in deadly crimes.

Kentucky State Police will conduct the auction and keep 20% of the sale proceeds for departmental use. The rest of the proceeds will be given to the Kentucky Office of Homeland Security.

It turns out that Harlan Crow purchased Clarence Thomas' childhood home from the SCOTUS judge. He apparently has had some renovations done, all while the home is occupied by Clarence's mother. This has the stench of payola all over it.

Judge Eric Davis, overseeing Dominion's $1.6 billion lawsuit against Fox News, is going to appoint a Special Master, whose job will be to determine if the right-wing media giant lied and/or withheld information.

Talk about easy work!

On Friday, police in Wisconsin arrested a 17-year-old boy who was carrying an AR-15 near Waukesha North High School. Police talked the boy - who had a pillowcase over his head with two eyes cut out - into handing over his weapon.

Wisconsin doesn’t require background checks on unlicensed gun sales, making it easy for minors to access guns. There’s no red flag law, no assault weapons ban, no limit on high-capacity magazines. And there’s no permit required to open carry loaded semiautomatic rifles in public.

We should have a law stating that people who buy guns should have "transgender" tattooed on their foreheads.

I for one say indict those motherfuckers.  On the other hand, AMLO has a valid point about Mexico's sovereignty - no matter how I might feel about his weak opposition to the cartels.

ETA: AMLO == Mexico's President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
