Exactly

Why? Cutting taxes will decrease tax revenue so government would have to cut welfare spending.

Mixed signals. Are we supposed to be more like China or more like Chile. More like a country that plans to increase percentages in welfare, or one that already out invests us?

Both of these countries spend less on welfare than the US.

We don’t allocate half our revenue to public spending. If you want to discuss alternative policy that’s fine. If you’re wedded to alternative facts I can’t help you.

Yup which is why they suck and the US doesn't because as bad as the US can be sometimes  it at least values its people and US is still the greatest economy on earth.

Tax the rich and close their loopholes and tax havens. Keep the welfare programs.

You are aware that it's easier to spend less when you have less to spend, right? China's GDP is 76% that of the US, and Chile's is 1.35%. Hell, Chile's GDP is so small that the two richest people on the planet have more than the GDP of Chile.

And Chile, the nation you said several pages ago was the most advanced economy in Latin America, still manages to spend half of its meager tax revenues on welfare.

Ron DeSantis has promised to ban pronouns from the military on DAY ONE as POTUS.

This campaign is a joke

Culture wars are all this clowns can do.

Quote:Ron DeSantis makes ‘Day One’ pledge to remove DEI, preferred pronouns from military

“I think it’s been politicized. I think you have a focus on things like DEI. A focus on things like gender pronouns. And that’s diverting from the core mission, and the core mission is really what attracts people to the military. So recruiting is suffering, people are leaving the service,” DeSantis said.

“You see them recruiting with, like, using drag queens and doing stuff with the pronouns and all this other stuff. That’s part of the main reason recruiting is so low,” DeSantis told podcaster Dinesh D’Souza this week.

The U.S. Navy, where DeSantis served, used a drag queen as a “digital ambassador.” The service member, named Joshua Kelley, performs as “Harpy Daniels.”

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
