Definitely one of the classic early black metal albums, it's not as well produced as it could be. Check out "Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk", I think it's their best album.

This is just my opinion, which isn't very well received, but I'm not really impressed with SLAYER's music. Reign in Blood and South of Heaven are awesome records, but after this, their musical output wasn't that great. 
They were doing it for the money, not because they actually believed what they saying. Turns out half of the band were catholic, and Tom Arraya didn't want to sing some of Kerry King's lyrics because they were so offensive. Seriously, they were faking it and made themselves fucking rich.

Dave Lombardo is a fantastic drummer. After he left, they were not the same.

I really don't know what to say. One of the reasons I hate "artists" like TuPac and Kid Rock is becuase they're not real. They're playing a character. So to hear such things about one of my fave thrash bands have me feeling like this:



Becuase if I continue to listen to them, I'd be no better than a Taylor Swift fan. If I made excuses and loop holes then It would be the same ones fans of Pop and Rap make and I would have to reasses. Though I would still hate rap and pop for being loopy, generic and repetitive. Fuck this is why I hate hearing about personal lives of celebrities. I'm in it for the lyrics and the sound and how I can relate to it, but fuck man.

My favorite song is 2112, it is pure fantasy.

Doesn't change the fact that Alex, Geddy, and Neil shred for pretty much the entirety of the song.

Echoes by Floyd is another masterpiece, not an actual event though.

You can still listen to the music regardless, they did put out some awesome albums.
