Good exists - a Catholic comments
RE: Good exists - a Catholic comments
Heeey, welcome back. We do all have to start somewhere...but you could pick a better perch.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Hi everyone
I’ve been busy saving the world from unnecessary apostrophe’s.

If God doesn’t exist, and the world just happened as an accident, or always was an accident, why does anyone care about what I say. You all dismiss it as nonsense.

But to say the burden of proof is on me is cowardly.

You all admit you don’t know or it’s not true. Or are you keeping it a secret. OK, tell me I’m wrong. But to deny the existence of God and have no answer yourself is not a convincing position.

I’m not sure why this forum exists. I can’t see any evidence of contributors trying to work out how the universe began. That would seem worthwhile. If you are not sure, why be on the forum at all, unless to find out. Abusing me for my modest comments does not seem very constructive.

But ignore me and prove to each other how the universe began, whether it was made by God or it’s just and amazing random occurrence.

In your worldview, all that exists is an accident of god.

Good? An accident of whatever god is or isn't.

Existence, an accident of whatever god did or didn't want.

Think about it.

This forum exists because you do. Because the worldview you represent is active in reality even if the god you believe in isn't.

No, you have just been nitpicking

Quote:If God doesn’t exist, and the world just happened as an accident, or always was an accident, why does anyone care about what I say. You all dismiss it as nonsense.
Non sequitur

Quote:But to say the burden of proof is on me is cowardly.
Nope, you just don't like it because you know you can't meet it.

Quote:You all admit you don’t know or it’s not true.

There are lots of things I don't know none of that demonstrates the existence of a god

Quote:Or are you keeping it a secret.
What?

Quote: OK, tell me I’m wrong.
About what?

Quote: But to deny the existence of God and have no answer yourself is not a convincing position.
I don't need to have an answer to not accept your answer and I don't care if you're convinced by it. It's a totally reasonable stance

Quote:I’m not sure why this forum exists.

Because there are people who don't accept the theist claim of God's existence

Quote: I can’t see any evidence of contributors trying to work out how the universe began.

Why the hell would we be doing that? That has nothing to do with Atheism

Quote:That would seem worthwhile.
To you maybe

Quote:If you are not sure, why be on the forum at all, unless to find out?

Again what?

Quote:Abusing me for my modest comments does not seem very constructive.
Lol, aren't you sensitive? If you don't want your comments criticized don't make them

Quote:But ignore me and prove to each other how the universe began,

No

No

Hi O grand one
“Howgodditit?”. Simple, God can do anything.
But let’s say I’m wrong, you are all good at that. Tell me how the universe began without a creator. If you can do that you can write a very successful book.
I’m so amazed you can all be so adamant how wrong I am or demanding of proof. It’s not my fault the universe exists and none of you seem to know why. And say I have to prove it.
The Universe exists. How? Why? Telling me I’m wrong doesn’t give you any answers. All gathering together in a forum of disbelief/unbelief/ignorance seems a poor way to do anything useful for the world. Ok, you can attack me. But it doesn’t make the world a better place, perhaps it makes you feel good.
My big question is, how do I use the quote function? The forum guidelines encourage me to do so, but I’m so dumb I can’t work it out.

Oh sure, god can do anything, but how did god do any one thing? If I ask a meteorologist how clouds work I'll get an answer. Tell me...please tell me....that the god you believe in is a shade better than the weatherman on the local broadcast channel...?

The quote function is easy. Some ridiculous god botherer like you says something, and I bracket it between q's.

As for what's useful for the world. Tell me how your silly belief that gods fairies paint the dew on every flower is useful for the world? You can't ask how some other thing is useful without immediately inviting the criticism on your own behest..and I fail to see how a belief system that revolves around stringing up some fucking jew for my unpaid parking tickets is useful...for the world.

How my worldview is useful for the world is proven in all of the -actual- relationships that businesses work on play out. Jesus doesn't make dildoes.....but the people who do leverage natural relationships to create a natural product that sells like gangbusters...especially to christians.

Next?

If you want to quote something, first type the word "quote" in square brackets. Everything after that will be in a quote box.

At the end of the quote put "/quote" in square brackets again. That will end the quote.

Don't use the quotation marks the way I did -- I just did that to explain.

Here is how it will look, though I will use regular parentheses instead of square brackets:

(quote)

Everyone please read this important quotation.
