RE: Christmas insanity
I can't see some pics, so apologies if this is a double up.

It's almost here.  My colanders are hung with care. A plate of grated Cheese by the fireplace.

I hope Spaghetti Claus got me everything on my list

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.

It seems that it wasn't that long ago that I would mail out about 40 Christmas cards, many with handwritten letters - no generic news letters for me. We received about the same number of cards back. This year I got one card in the mail and received one in person. I mailed a grand total of two.

I kind of miss the tradition of sending Christmas cards.
