Gender is a word, like all words it defines what most people understand it to mean. in this context I am not sure exactly what you're saying, how does one reject common usage of a word? FWIW I remember people rejecting the word gay, when it's etymology changed ot refer to homosexuality, it seems odd to me, like refusing to accept the tide is coming in.

Yes, I see now that he's banned, I was just curious what he was actually rejecting, and why of course.

When it comes to between the Tories and Labour it seems to me that Labour is the lesser evil. But I voted Green.

Thank fuck for that, I am so sick of trundling along at ten miles an hour in second gear, watching people slam their brakes on at every junction and roundabout...for some inexplicable reason. By all means extend the 20mph limit if need be, but this was an asinine law.

Seems that something is fishy with Labour:

Westminster’s lax transparency rules mean there is no official record of this mammoth public affairs offensive. The rulebook says the public has no right to know which companies lobby the opposition – a position shared by Starmer’s Labour. In every instance, the party has refused to disclose what was discussed, what promises were made, and even who was at its meetings, saying: “We should not be treated as the government.”[...]

Not exactly 'unprecedented', it happens with every prospective government regardless of party.
There are of course lobbyists from trades unions, charities, religions and various other organisations.
