Spotted in Manchester this week was a man parading the sidewalk of a busy stretch of roadway in a sandwich board. On the sandwich board he was announcing that he was an engineer seeking a job. The media predictably latched on to it and lo and behold the man was soon offered a choice of employment opportunities. He will be championed as a fine example of the indomitable British spirit in time of adversity and an example to the unemployed.
Echoes of the Thatcherite 80's when Norman Tebbitt, aka the Chingford skinhead, advised the 2 million unemployed to " get on their bikes " to look for work.
And so it goes, on and on.

A man is born to a virgin mother, lives, dies, comes alive again and then disappears into the clouds to become his Dad. How likely is that?
