Donald Trump Impeachment Petition Gets 250,000 Signatures
A petition urging that Congress begin impeachment proceedings against President Donald Trump be impeached has attracted more than 250,000 signatures, according to the nonprofit that initiated it.
The group cites multiple other reasons for Congress to potentially impeach the Republican for his actions during his second term. These include Trump's ongoing efforts to drastically reduce federal spending and allegedly abusing his power while seeking retribution against political enemies.
The group is also calling for Trump's impeachment after he suggested the U.S. could "take over" the Gaza Strip following a ceasefire between Israel and the Palestinian militant group Hamas.
