They are in a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation. Musk's toxicity is absolutely killing the brand. On the other hand, he is the reason Tesla is valued way, way, way above it's earnings. Investors have been convinced by Elon that he can do miracles. So if they get rid of him, they virtually guarantee the value of the company will plummet. Keep him and Tesla may become the next My Pillow.

I'm glad I never invested money in Tesla because they are in for some hurt no matter what they do.

Sorry to burst a bubble but if you own mutual funds or a 401k you likely own tesla shares, in part.

I was afraid of that, so I scrutinized my investments. The box of cash is still under the bed, J/K, it turns out I don't have any Tesla stock. Had I any, I'd leave it to my advisors as to keep or sell; they know much more about it than I do.

It would be in the form of an index fund, if you did. Not you, specifically, us. As in, most of us who are invested with tesla somehow wouldn't know that and it will not be obvious.

Bill Gates accuses Elon Musk of ‘killing’ children with USAID cuts

The co-founder of Microsoft, and once the world’s richest man himself, said the abruptness of the cuts had left life-saving food and medicines expiring in warehouses and could cause the resurgence of diseases such as measles, HIV and polio.

“The picture of the world’s richest man killing the world’s poorest children is not a pretty one,” he told the Financial Times.

Musk had cancelled grants to a hospital in Gaza Province, Mozambique, that prevents women transmitting HIV to their babies, in the mistaken belief that the US was supplying condoms to Hamas in Gaza in the Middle East. “I’d love for him to go in and meet the children that have now been infected with HIV because he cut that money,” he said.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Interesting how money changes people in different ways ... or how it doesn't. Gates got enormously rich but didn't sell his soul.

(Bold mine)

This needs to be a rallying cry at every protest against the Musk/Trump cabal.

I'll just let this sink in.

You know, given how much time Trump's spent being Stupid Evil, it's nice to know he can sometimes just be Chaotic Stupid.

DOGE’s Hunt for Social Security Fraud Ends in Total Bust

After months of baseless claims about “extreme levels of fraud” within the Social Security Administration—even going so far as calling it the “biggest ponzi scheme of all time”—Elon Musk and DOGE have only found two likely fraudulent claims out of over 110,000 at the Social Security Administrations.

The two likely fraudulent cases make it a rate of .0018 percent. So DOGE found virtually no fraud and made a system integral to our country’s inner workings less efficient in the process.
