Russia and Ukraine
RE: Russia and Ukraine
Has anyone considered the possible that Ukraine has secreted even more drones in Russia? Given the state of Russia's internal security, the command centre for the next mass drone attack might already be set up in a broom closet of the Kremlin.

It seems to me that you'd want to have many more secreted before unfolding the first attack, because you know that will intensify security. Of course, every big-rig truck in Russia is now going to be inspected numerous times per leg, I imagine.

I don't know about that. The country's security forces are probably severely depleted. They will have a manpower problem in increasing inspections.

I hope someone is thinking of that, rather than about some guy in a skirt- "top" DoD officials drumming out trans people. Talk about fiddling while Rome burns...

Right, the skewed priorities of current DoD leadership is positively threatening to our national security.

I think it's safe to say the Russians have considered it. Whether it's true or not, the big, bad Russians are going to be paralyzed by their own fear for awhile.

What a loss of face for Putin! In the long run, maybe that will have even greater ramifications for the regime than the gut punch of losing all that military hardware.
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

Looks like Zelenskyy has more cards than Trump thought.

All of this is still like a light weight boxer fighting a heavy weight champion.

Yes, Ukraine is also hitting its opponent. Yes, it does at least some amount of damage. But is this going to stop Vladimir Putin?

- Putin needs this war. Dictators need wars in order to hold on to power. Thanatocracy is the term. The more this war goes on, the easier it is for Putin to hold on to power.

The only positive outcome of the situation is Europe becoming more united and realizing its need to become a better organized military and economic superpower on its own.

But US participation could also have a lot of impact. A different US government might have been focused on ending this war sooner rather than later (By giving Ukrainians the means to defeat Russia sooner rather than later)

Video discussion pertinent to the drone strikes. The host is a retired F-16 and FA-18 driver, his second ("Gonky") is a retired FA-18 driver, don't know much about their guest, but good dope and insights here:
