They're redoing the pavement around here. Just on the other side of the building the noise is somewhat loud. When they move over to this side, it's going to be worse.

They're doing construction on the roof of my building. Residents are advised to watch for falling objects for the next month. j/k We're actually just supposed to avoid certain areas.

The whole family has been waiting to exhale since we found out that pregnant daughter-in-law is a Muscular Dystrophy carrier. Added to the tension is that a boy has a 50/50 chance of being born to a carrier with the disease.

Next step will be an amniocentesis that I will be hand-holding for. Son would pass out. It's not till the 12 of November so it could be around Thanksgiving before we know if the baby has it or not.

Of course, we are all hoping for the best but know we may be working on preparing for the worst.

Trimming my toenails. This is one of the hardest things that I do for myself by myself. Until a few years ago, I had my nurse cut them, but for reasons that I'd rather not go into, I started doing them myself. I picked up a couple of new tricks this time, making it a little easier today than last time.

Ordering some additional RAM for my NAS. I had hoped to just add two sticks, but there weren't many single or two stick packages on Ebay, so I ordered four. It was only $10 more, and I've got two other server boards that they'll work with.

I just put in my retirement notice. Mid-March.

This is not my day. Windows Explorer froze while opening a save file dialog, which resulted in the crashing of one of my disks. Since then it's been down one rabbit hole after another to recover the crashed disk.
