National Geographic Specials Eternal Enemies: Lions and Hyenas (1992)
Wow, this is some documentary. It's a reminder that animals on the savanna are not fighting to survive but that it's an all-out war where there is no clear bad guy or good guy but just creatures who solve everything with the most brutal violence imaginable. At one point a male lion attacks a hyena, breaks her spine, and just leaves her. She can't walk anymore, but she won't give up and rolls on the ground like a barrel.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). The Sergeant (1968)
Really great movie about a US Army officer, played by Rod Steiger, who is romantically pursuing a straight soldier. I also enjoy movies set in rainy environments with a lot of mud and trees.

The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford (2007)
This was my second try at this one. It’s beautifully shot, wonderfully written, and skillfully acted. However, it’s also very slowly paced and, consequently, intensely boring. I made it just over halfway through, so it can’t be said I didn’t give it a fair chance.

I saw Spider-Man: Brand New Day on Saturday. I really enjoyed it although the pacing was off at times, especially towards the end. It's a darker take, to be expected considering the previous movie set Parker up to be completely isolated. It made a move towards integrating the mutants franchise. I particularly enjoyed the relationship between Spider-Man and The Punisher.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.

The Prisoner of Second Avenue (1975)
It is based on Neil Simon's play, so you can imagine how much I laughed.
The moment of surprise: Sylvester Stallone has a small role in this movie. Not just that, but Jack Lemmon beats him up! So there you go: Jack Lemmon beat up Rocky and Rambo. And this movie came out only one year before Rocky.

I knew Disclosure Day was too bad to watch, but at least I thought it would be fun watching it on YouTube channels that ridicule bad movies, like CinemaSins, but it's too bad even for that.
This movie is so bad that the word "embarrassing" doesn't even begin to describe it. It's like some child wrote the script with crayons.
Sure, I gave up on Spielberg since the end of the 90s, but this makes me wonder if he's not mentally well or if he's just living so deep in his bubble that he thinks that he's so much smarter than everyone else and that every idea that pops in his head is genius.

I saw a remake of The Naked Gun with Liam Neeson as Frank Drebin. It pretty much sucked. Liam Neeson is no Leslie Nielson - not remotely.
One scene I thought was cute was Liam Neeson (as Frank Drebin's son) practically worshipping the image of Leslie Nielsen, saying aloud that he was so proud of his dad and wanted to be just like him. Then a guy who was supposed to be the son of the police chief played by George Kennedy in the original movies is similarly declaring his devotion to his father and pledging to be just like him. Finally, a young black man is looking at the image of his father, Nordberg, played by O.J. Simpson. The image is actually Simpson's booking photo. The guy starts gushing about his father and how he wants to be just like... Then he looks embarrassed and turns away.
In my defense, I watched this thing because I was in the hospital. I didn't know it even existed until then.
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.
