Just got back from voting in the primary.

Working out more kinks in my Sonarr work queue. I suspect but don't know that it's misconfigured. I moved my media library from a local disk to a network share yesterday, but it was missing 97 files this morning.

Cub had Polar sparkling water on sale for $2.50 per eight-pack when you buy five or more, so I went and restocked my supply.

Arrived in Frankfurt a couple hours ago, enjoying an early dinner now and a walk later.

I pulled my hamstring. It's a pain.

At Ravinia, listening to Hugh Jackman doing a sound check. I can’t get a good look, and it doesn’t look like security will let me do so, let alone take a picture.

I found a wirtshaus nearby that serves a non-alcoholic weißbier that I was quite fond of before I gave up alcohol, so we ended up eating dinner there - we shared a platter of traditional German cuisine; schnitzel, pork knuckle, wurst, sauerkraut, roast potatoes. Really good, and even though we a split it, we could not finish it.

I won my Ebay auction. Huzzah. I've been checking various hardware details with Claude and ChatGPT. So far no big mistakes.

Ever get a song in your head, realise you don't know what it is, and can't actually search for it? 

For the last couple months, I've had a song in my head, and a few vivid details: 

• An ascending and descending horn line based on the notes A, C, and D
  
• An a capella break of "Ba-ba-ba-ba", descending chromatically. 
  
• A soul feel that I placed somewhere between the late sixties and 1980.
  
• The lyric "Walkin"
  
• For some reason, I imagined it in the trailer of a freewheeling heist comedy. One that would probably be okay to watch, but you'd otherwise forget before you put your keys in the ignition on the way home. 
  
• IN my attempts at trying to keep the search alive, I at one point drew down the details I remembered in sheet music. 
  
  (Notably, this estimate for both the tempo and tonic wound up being both a bit sharp and a bit fast)
  

As you can imagine, this is enough to create a vivid memory of the song, but one that's impossible to search. The few lyrics I remembered were so generic that a proper search would be useless. 

And then, just a few minutes ago, I put a DVD of Bad Times at the El Royale that I had rented in the player. And I heard it.
