Which, for some reason, you discount as not having any weight even though Paul has made it clear he opposes civil rights acts and supports people putting up "whites only" signs. Gee... who knows why the news letter is such a thorn in his side? RE: More Ron Bashing

Yes I do think getting rid or trimming down Dept of Education would be good. As in a previous post I stated that the DOE had a budget of like 20 billion in 2000 and now has budget of 70 billion. With something like 5000 employees. So what is all that money doing? Children are not better off now, and NCLB was a huge failure. So yes I agree it should be dismantled or fixed or something it is broke now, and I don't see how anyone can disagree. In a way yes, the civil rights acts let the federal government be a part of race relations. When you have "race quotas" you are actually promoting racism by creating lines that divide people due to race. You shouldn't divide people by race, its all about the individual, race is irrelevant. It helped in getting rid of Jim crow laws, but I think it over stepped. Jim crow laws are failure in government intervention in racism. I'm not fully educated on this aspect yet. I can only read and debate you guys so much Yes some de-regulation is good. I don't here him saying let anyone dump radioactive shit anywhere. Guess what we currently do that a lot. Some countries dump nuclear waste of the coast of Somalia... yeah look it up. Regulations should be based off scientific and rational thought. It all matters on the context to say de-regulation is bad is misleading, cause it all matters on the actual context in which we are discuss the regulation or deregulation, and what if effects. I'm sure their are regulations in effect now that help people pollute/discriminate and make more money. It's all relative on what the regulations are and applied too. Ok Lunch time for me. I need more energy to respond back to you guys all day.. People are the only dictators of morality because we are morality and we are the people. Morality is a constantly changing fluid aspect of society, it must happen naturally because government can't fix it, the people must. RE: More Ron Bashing

LOL) It is obvious that there are TONS of problems with the system right now that need immediate attention, the dept of education is not one of them. Yet he makes that his priority if he gets elected. How about stopping K street from fucking up our representative system by guarenteeing jobs to retiring politicians to become insiders to influence the government for business? How about actually regulating the banks, instead of continuing to allow them to regulate themselves? How about the BILLIONS of mispent and abused funds that go to the millitary industrial complex? How about stopping "no-bid" contracts? I can think of MANY thinks that have put our country and our economy in grave continual danger, and the dept of education is VERY far down on that list. One witness is enough for 100% conclusive proof eh? Wait, are you suggesting that information from a former member of Paul's staff is equal to "hearsay?" Im interested in learning what you would consider a good source of information in a situation like this? Facts, it is Pauls letter, he is supposed to give it his approval before it circulates. He has publicly spoke of opposing the civil rights act and supports businesses freedom to hire based on race. Are ANY of these facts allowable in your court room? If not, which system of fact finding should we use?
Ron Paul is not rascist, use common sense and listen to the man. He didn't write the article in the newsletter, he disavowed it repeatedly, and has forgotten about it since it was nearly 20 years ago! Move on! Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate outside the corporate influence in Washington. He wants to have 0% income tax and reduce the bureacracy of the government. End the totally corrupt Federal Reserve, legalize marijuana ( my personal favorite ), bring all our troops home, revamp the whole economy to work FOR the middle class, not against it, and he has 30 years experience in Congress. If the very worst mud his opponents can sling at him is this obscure "rascist" newsletter that mentions his name in it, I would say that pales in comparison to the serious faults in the majority of politicians we know. Paul is a strict Constitutionalist, (go figure, actually obeying our country's original plan). He is a very erudite fiscal conservative (supports Austrian economics, not our deeply flawed Keynesian model which is bringing us to a complete monetary collapse) and most importantly of all, he is a social libertarian, Live and Let Live in true freedom and peace. What could be more balanced and attractive than that in a leader?
And by the way, if you investigate further in Paul's ideas and supporters, you will find that most African Americans love him and do not care about some rascist B.S. written by some nobody who used Paul's photo and name to support some distorted view 20 years ago. Paul is a true-blue revolutionary patriot my friends! He served in the military and he is as honest a politician as I have ever witnessed. He even has predicted so much of what is happening economically now way back in the 80's and 90's because he knows what the hell is going on. Goldman Sachs sleeping in bed with Wall St., a foriegn policy of aggression called "preventative war against terrorism". Please give Ron Paul a closer look on Youtube, and with an open mind I guarentee you will see that he is light years ahead of his corporate puppet opponents! He actually gives a shit about what happens to our country, unlike the others, with Huntsman who was a possible exception, the other candidates who really only care about self promotion, power and wealth. Read between the lines. Peace out Everyone! Ron Paul RLOVEUTION !! Get on the bandwagon now before it's too late, and save America from the greedy, mega-rich corporate capitalists who are selling us out! Open Your Eyes!!!!
You, yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection.

Maintaining the facade of leaving abortion to be decided by the states while simultaneously introducing federal legislation that would effectively make abortion murder i.e. illegal [wikillink]?
He's for liberty until he's not. How convenient. Paulbots are tiresome. Slave to the Patriarchy no more

Quote:It is obvious that there are TONS of problems with the system right now that need immediate attention, the dept of education is not one of them. Yet he makes that his priority if he gets elected. I don't hear him mention it all that much. It is what his detractors like to talk about a lot. Mostly stopping the rampant military spending and foreign policy issues, is what I hear in the debates.. If I can stand watching them... Santorum looks like he is in a constant state of having to take a shit. Quote:How about stopping K street from fucking up our representative system by guarenteeing jobs to retiring politicians to become insiders to influence the government for business? Myself personally I don't believe in a representative government. It should be the people representing themselves. Quote:How about actually regulating the banks, instead of continuing to allow them to regulate themselves? Ron Paul hates the banking system. The Federal Revere is the pinnacle of banking. Read this interview with him please. http://www.ronpaul.com/2011-12-01/ron-pa...anic-mode/ Quote:How about the BILLIONS of mispent and abused funds that go to the millitary industrial complex? How about stopping "no-bid" contracts? He wants to close bases overseas. How about that for saving billions of dollars on the military industrial complex. Without all those bases you wouldn't have the crony contracts like Halliburton as well. Lots of money back into the states that can go to meaningful programs. Wars are expensive. |
