That's basically the position the Christians are taking.

They claim otherwise. They claim that it's water over the dam and that it's already a done deal, so they may as well accept it now. But that flies in the face that this God is supposed to be omniscient and timeless. If this God is truly omniscient and timeless, then I cannot condone having Jesus crucified to save my butt, because that would be basically the same as condoning it on my behalf before it's even done.

So to accept the crucifixion on my behalf from a supposedly timelessly omniscient God would truly not be anything more than condoning it even before it happened. And that I refuse to do.

So the whole Christian mythology makes absolutely no sense.

The whole religion is based on daddy issues, and not the good kind like mine where I like to chase after older guys, but the bad kind like in Greek mythology where fathers killed or ate their kids or sons supplanted fathers.

After a fashion, summer, but I'm not certain jeebus is a victim of the myth of replacement in the same way Zeus had coming before Rhea gave Kronos a paleolithic gut bomb. The judeo-xtian myth cycle is far less interesting (well, at least after Yahweh went and did the Darwin on the rest of the gods around early on) and far more retarded in its attempts to get a "based on true events" label attached to the book cover.
