Do you say oh my God or gosh?

RE: Do you say oh my God or gosh?
My daughter is into a show called Monster High, and there is a character named Cleo DeNile, who is "the daughter of the mummy". She says, "Oh my Ra!", so that's what my daughter says, and it's kinda caught on with me too. I say "Oh my god", though. It's just an expression.

I say 'oh my god' often. The witchhunter enjoys going with it and asking me where my gods are now... Angel

Nowadays, I use "Jupiter's Cock" or "Juno's Cunt". Watching Spartacus has had its benefits.

So say we all.

I'm also fond of 'flunngle' and of course 'crunt', not to mention spoonerisms. EG I refer to my ex wife as 'tinegar vits' or 'crune punt' Tiger

"Oh my gay god" comes out more often than "By the gods and all that's holey"

Frak, Frell and Fardles for 'polite' company...WTF as well.

I use "Oh my Dod!" in reference to a playing-card version of Yu-Gi-Oh! I made up which uses "Egyptian Dod Cards".

Hmm, I may have to check out Spartacus now.
"Sisters, you know only the north; I have traveled in the south lands. There are churches there, believe me, that cut their children too, as the people of Bolvangar did--not in the same way, but just as horribly. They cut their sexual organs, yes, both boys and girls; they cut them with knives so that they shan't feel. That is what the Church does, and every church is the same: control, destroy, obliterate every good feeling. So if a war comes, and the Church is on one side of it, we must be on the other, no matter what strange allies we find ourselves bound to."

When around my Christian friends, I use the phrase, "OH YOUR GOD!" instead Smile

Lately, I've been exclaiming "motherfucker!" or "goddammit!". Sometimes I'll say, "Jesus Christ!". I honestly can't remember the last time I said, "Oh, my god".
Don’t ask.

I just use whatever shape of words best fits the situation, if that makes any sense. Sometimes the occasion might call for a "god" or perhaps more colourful and earthy language is required. As a writer with a writer's ear for language, I always look for le mot juste that imparts the maximum information with the most economy. I have used phrases such as "oh my (lack of) god" or "oh my Darwin" but quite astonishingly sparingly and only in forum posts, to me they come across as contrived, clumsy and downright pretentious. So fuck 'em.

At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'
