It all started because I said I didn't feel god in my heart, and she said "Don't say that in case he punishes you by hurting our child". I just sort of mentally collapsed at that point. I couldn't keep up the lie any more.

I'd ask her for the decency of a one to one conversation and try to explain things with her.

If all else fails, like Alei said, fathers have rights to see their children and justifiably so.
