@ Annik, we can banter this back and forth all night and get nowhere, the fact remains, there is no proof that homosexuality is anything other than choice.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

No, you're ignoring the evidence.

What! What tree?! All I can see is a forest...
Hey, Annik, would you like a bandage for your forehead? It's all bloodied from bashing it on a brick wall...

If gay marriage is to be law the people of this country should decide through the vote. The Constitution does not say my faith has to stay out of legislation, again I will vote my Godly mind and heart and that's my Constitutional right.
The problem with your argument is your assumption that gay marriage is a topic that should be open to vote. Your very presumption of voting on it is forcing your beliefs on others.

One more thing genetics can necessarily be rejected because of this, in most cases when one identical twin shows homosexual tendencies the other does not. Since identical twins share exactly the same genes there must be choice involved.
Using the type of language you do shows immaturity, ask a psychologist.

Quote:The second study was an examination of twins by psychologist Michael Bailey of Northwestern University. Among identical twins, he found that if one was gay, the other had a 50 percent chance of also being gay. Among fraternal twins, who do not share the same DNA, there was only a 20 percent chance.
Now try and tell me genetics don't play a roll in determining sexual orientation. Another thing you might want to think about. Could you be gay if you wanted to? Think about it honestly. Could you really be physically attracted to another guy if you wanted to? I know I couldn't. That's because sexual orientation isn't a choice.
Even with that, it's pointless. Choice is still part of personal freedom. Even if you chose to be gay, it's still your right to choose.

We did not put freeing the slaves to a vote, Mr. Lincoln understood that freedom was a right for all, just as marriage is a right for all.

The study in question had its sample taken from willing twins within the LGBT community, so these numbers are likely much lower.

hmmm haven't heard that before. Either way my point still stands. We don't deny people of rights just because they chose to be that way. (And the evidence still suggests that orientation can't be changed.

I think the real point to be considered here is what I and libalchris said before. Godschild cannot choose to be homosexual any more than I can, just like I didn't choose to be heterosexual. I have no choice in my attraction to women.
