God is almost omnipotent. He has many limits.

RE: God is almost omnipotent. He has many limits.
It boils down to there is no reason to believe, therefore you have to just believe, which in turn boils down to act like god exists and you might psychosomatically feel god exists.

I suppose for the same reason people fall for homepathic "medicine"

I thought it was all about faith? I would've thought that trying to look for this stuff, even following some dubiously arcane set of instructions, is the complete opposite of faith.

Erm... silly question, perhaps, but how come we're all suddenly pink?
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Now you are getting it! There is no reason to believe what so ever. Unless you are determined to seek out God. If you are, then know God will personally take you by the hand and show you all you need to see. If you aren't then you will not be forced to accept what you choose to hide from.

For one can not have true choice if undisputable evidence says otherwise.Wink That is what this life is about. Choice. If you were faced with undisputable evidence that God was waiting for you to accept the sin sacerfice provided for you, then what choice would you really have?

As it is though you have a choice. Whether to chose to seek out God as He has commanded or you can choose unbelief.

Faith is only the method in which we facilitate our choice. Christ says it only takes the faith of a mustard seed to get this whole process moving.

Thought it was just me at first, like I'd done something naughty. Then I saw how far it'd spread. Are all going to gauntletted or something?

Listen, step back, and repeat to yourself that following that you can make yourself believe it and become a better man:

"I am a christian, therefore I am a disgraceful wretch and whenever an any atheist disagrees with me, I am toitally wrong even if he is not always 100% right. So even if an atheist is not totally right about there being no god to believe, I am totally wrong to believe is a god".

What a waste of a life. If you'd started digging a hole 20 years ago at least by now you would have a big hole.

Why do assume i have nothing more than what a big hole would amount to? If you do not know God then how could you hope to know how He rewards the faithful?

I don't know Thor, either, but I think we can both agree dedicating 20 years to his worship could have been better used.
