No, I don't get it. what I see is you back pedaling from an ad hominem attack.
No, you don't, and it's really none of your business. Nor would it be a fallacious attack if it were.

Quote:You claim is not obvious to me from any of your pots I've read.
Meh. Appeal to ignorance.

Yeah.

That is a cop-out.

Quote: Your intention doesn't seem to try to understand my position or to help me past my error as you perceive it.

It is clear from your interaction with everyone here in this thread that you are unwilling to examine your position objectively or get past your error.

Quote:It seems rather it's just to put me down and twist my intentions behinds my words as to make me seem illogical.
You are indeed being completely illogical, and obstinate in your refusal to admit or even examine it. That is what everyone here has been trying to get through to you.

Ok let's discuss the following two possibilties:

1) God exists.
2) God doesn't exist.

If 1) is true, do you think it's logically possible that God makes us perceive him and know of him intuitively or in properly basic knowledge manner?
If 2) is true, what is the basis of the delusion and how do I get out of it?

Why?

Quote:1) God exists.
2) God doesn't exist.

What is a god?

Quote:If 1) is true, do you think it's logically possible that God makes us perceive him and know of him intuitively or in properly basic knowledge manner?

Bullshit -- you aren't going to jump into an assumption that some thing "exists" when you haven't even bothered to define it or provide any sort of evidence of its existence. that is a bullshit attempt at an end run, and you just got caught in your own end zone.

Quote:If 2) is true, what is the basis of the delusion and how do I get out of it?
The basis of your delusion is that you believe fairy tale stories on the basis of feelings and without any recourse to evidence or reason, and to get out of it you simply have to not be so damned gullible and credulous.

Who said it wasn't? You fail to apply that understanding to yourself.

Wow, no need to be mean to Mystic, we had a perfectly tame discussion earlier. He's totally willing to just talk about things. Padraic didn't personally attack you, either; insults are unnecessary.

Why would they? It's just regurgitated BillLameAssCraig horseshit. Semantic prestidigitation. A sophistic shell game of question-begging and false dichotomy.

And you did get your ultimate answer, and here's another one: Your attempt at a shell game is a failed attempt to divert from your obstinate unwillingness to examine the reasons for your belief critically or to acknowledge the reasonable criticisms that have been offered to you in this thread. You are being disingenuous and intellectually dishonest. And arrogantly so.

He is unwilling, however, to critically examine the absurdities of his "reasoning"-by-feelings.

Yes, in fact (s)he did. Neither is it any of your business.

I'm sure your insulting him will make him fall before your greatness.
/sarcasm

And you know you're on a forum, right? Where everyone can see/comment on anything they like? I hope your tantrum ends soon.

Nice straw man you have there.

Oh, is that what this is? How do you tell? Rolleyes

Are you his straw dog? Neither of you seem to understand that that means that I can comment on anything I like, too.
