I generally return the favour when people rep me, unless I really dislike them or they haven't posted enough for me to know what they are like.

In all honesty, yeah I love getting rep. It's fucking great. It may seem incredibly sad to people, but I like knowing that someone else enjoys what I bring to the forum enough to actually take the time to tell me about it. And I enjoy giving it out as much. What's wrong with that? Does that make me a rep whore? I guess so.

Well, reps are good as they primarily make a difference between a regular member or a one hit wonder.

There were other times when we had negative reps. It tended make shit hit the fan

the funniest thing about rep is that you can remove it if you gave it to someone and wish you didn't. hahahaha. i love that feature. has anyone ever taken one back from someone? i think it's cool as it makes you feel more a part of the membership. i will think every couple weeks or so, "damn, this person keeps sayin cool shit" - whether based on quality of posts, cool personality or straight humor and i'll drop it on them. i don't do it looking for return because i was glad i got one, after that, tho i appreciate it totally, i don't get a boner over myself much. in perspective, 8 people out of (what?) 2000, like something i said. that means, 1992 didn't.

I only just learned how to give rep, so this thread has served a purpose. Now, who deserves my praise?

I went to Annik's page to rep her and I'd already done it... so I removed it and added it again. At least, I think I did. I thought about doing it anyway! What was the point of my journey if I didn't?! I can't remember who I've repped except Annik, because I went to do it twice. Usually I rep after seeing several informative posts by the person, rather than posts that just make me laugh. I say usually, although I've probably only repped like 5 or 6 people, haha.

yeah, that's probably the way it should be. i tend to put more importance on entertainment than i should. i joined for information (and still want that) but i found out there's also a lot of laughs to be had out here.

Yes, it was hi-larious earlier today when a certain person removed one of my rep points.
