No, you fucking twit, I blame the Nazis for what the Nazis did and I blame the church for being complicit in it. Go away. You're like mind cancer. Not brain cancer; you literally hurt my thoughts every time you post.

Oh and while you're at it why don't you read about Trotsky and a bunch of his other critics while you're at it. And the Red Army Massacre, and the deportations. The fact that you don't even know about the famines and the fact that Stalin basically withheld the grain reserves that could have averted it because of his own paranoid delusions about the Ukrainian government basically withholding grainstock pretty much gives away that you have no fucking clue what you're talking about, amongst everything else.
"Copping out" is something the religious do on just about everything, if you think about it.
Well of course. If I were to tell you the sky was green (which obviously isn't true) you'd be able to quickly disprove me for many reasons, at which point I'd have no other option than to act personally offended and hit you with a sweeping, all-encompassing statement.
But of course you probably know that.
All too well, I'm afraid. All too well.

First off, no I don't blame the christian church for what the nazis did. I blame the nazis. I hope everyone does. And yes, the nazis as a whole did plenty wrong. Everyone below those individuals you spoke of believed in what those individuals said, and those that didn't weren't really nazis.

Stalin was one of the most disgusting and evil men in his time period.
He spat on the doctrine of communism and abused every facet of the political structure for his own benefit. He killed Trotsky, a figure that, if he had survived, would have changed the face of communism. We might not even have the negative connotation that comes along with "communist".
Stalin killed Lenin via poison, his avarice ovveriding his adherance to communism's doctrine.
My conclusion is that there is no reason to believe any of the dogmas of traditional theology and, further, that there is no reason to wish that they were true.
Man, in so far as he is not subject to natural forces, is free to work out his own destiny. The responsibility is his, and so is the opportunity.

Lenin bastardized Marx's doctrines on communism but at least he adhered to a good portion of it. Stalin, though... Like you said, if not for him, the negative connotation to communism may have never existed.

I do agree that it's wrong to persecute every person in a religion for one groups actions, for example it's wrong to blame all the world's muslims for 9/11 and suicide bombers, but 9/11 is still an example of religous AND islamic extremism, you can get more specific and say it was sunni, pashtunwali, or wahhabist extremism, but it was inpired by islam, even if you prove Osama, was in fact atheist, all along, it still wouldn't change the fact that those involved were inspired by islam and did it in the name of islam.
I just want to make sure your both claiming that christianity isn't to blame for anything..... any violence or injustice committed in their names.....witch burnings, native americans, crusades, just nothing?.... that isn't what I'm arguing against am I?

I think the whole point here wasn't to argue what christianity was responsible for. I think it was just to point out that the actions of dictators can't be blamed on atheism.

how is it any different if it's about theism? If "actions of dictators can't be blamed on atheism" then your also saying "actions of dictators can't be blamed on theism".... then you stated the christianity isn't to blame for the nazi's so essentially your saying christianity cannot be blamed for anything just individuals
So do you blame christianity for anything?
