Well, that's also arguing that a morphology of people with broad, flat noses is type specific of African negroid populations. Many sub-groups of the mongoloid races have broad flat noses, and we have a demonstrable route by which a mongoloid people could have arrived without the need of any maritime technology whatsoever. (Ignoring Solutreanism, which I'm insufficiently familiar with to speculate on the morphological features of the head and face of possible Solutrean migrations.) This is also ignoring the possibility of convergent evolution, or of migratory stock whom we have no knowledge of the facial morphology of (peoples whose culture is more or less silent in history).

The original immigrants into America could not be readily said to be mongoloid. It seems the set of features commonly used to distinguish mongoloids evolved after the end of ice age and the permanent separation of Asian and American human populations. American Indians probably derived from a population that were also ancestral to range of groups in central and northeastern Asia.

"Muslims" / Islam is under rated because it is a Neolithic fundamentalist and backward world view. The "Koran" has been proven to be a direct rip-off of the Judaic and christian texts of the time period. Any Scientific discoveries can be directly attributed to the Persians before the Arabic invasions and just only proves that the price of oil is far too high as regards to the subjugation of whole countries. The Bedouin are a small people-a petty people and a backward people as attributed to their "holly' work ...the koran.

The Mullahs and Imams are the ones who are benefiting from the control of the oil reserves governed by the Arab (GCC) states of which they have sold out to and as such are not worthy of and interest or notice.

I feel sorry for them as they are the ones who will suffer the most when Iran and Iraq have had enough of their interference. They are not related which is the Real concern...neither are the Philippines, Indonesia or Malaysia... I mean REALLY ...a desert deity in a lush, water rich, equatorial zone?? Makes no sense.

One might imagine if Islam could enlighten at all, then it would have shown the OP the fact that the claim that Indians were Muslim does islam no favors, and serves only to illustrate the fact that belief in Allah helped not a wit against the guns, germs and steel of Europeans.

The OP is biased. And does not know anything about history or the movement of people or religious agendas.

What can one say other then the OP is ignorant and if this is the best Islam has to offer then they are truly back in the "Stone Age" = 8,000 BCE and have no hope of engaging the current era.

There speaks one who is devoid of the generosity offered to a stranger, that is second nature to the desert people.
Shall we asses you 'westerner' by the behaviour of Bush and Blare, or the crusaders who ate their prisoners? Small minded people see the reflection of themselves when they look at the world.

Quote:The consensus view maintained across publications in peer-reviewed academic journals that are concerned with Mesoamerican and other pre-Columbian research is that the Olmec and their achievements arose from influences and traditions that were wholly indigenous to the region, or at least the New World, and there is no reliable material evidence to suggest otherwise.

Until the last 20 years the consensus view of the populating of the Americas involved walking across a land bridge in Siberia and down to the tip of South America. The Clovis-Firsters are going the way of the dodo, now.

But what is really troubling in that Wiki write up is this: "Many are more critical and regard the promotion of such unfounded theories as a form of ethnocentric racism at the expense of indigenous Americans.["

Science should go where the evidence leads and not worry about offending the superstitions of indigenous people who, apparently, are indigenous only in the sense that they were here before the whites.

If, in the absence of evidence of any transoceanic contact at all, there were "theories" thrown around about first Mesoamerican civilization having to have been inspired by old worlders, be they Norse (Haha!), Chinese (Ha!), Africans (Huh?), but no equivalent theory going the other way, I'd say the write up has a point.

Why is popular junk history not populated by stories of the great stone architecture of zimbabwe being evidence of African culture having been inspired by the renegade band of magalithic building Incas?

It's out there, Chuck. I wish I could say one had to search hard to find it but that would be wrong.

Quote:Collins, Fell, and others show proof that the Phoenicians and many other ancient peoples had sea-contact with the American continents. "King David and Israel were likely the biggest customers in the world for copper and many other raw materials at that time. Solomon’s building projects eventually went far beyond anything David himself envisioned, so the demand upon available world sources of raw materials in their reigns must have been immense indeed! With this in mind, it is significant that these ancient Lake Superior copper mines were apparently worked to exhaustion during the reign of King David, precisely the time frame in which David was stocking the Temple for G-d! Since the North American copper mines had been known to the Old World for centuries before David lived (he reigned from 1010 — 970 BCE), and since there is evidence that Phoenician ships called at ancient North American ports, the means to transport Lake Superior copper ores to King David of Israel did exist."

Batshittery, of course. But far from the only example.[/quote]
