And where was all this hand-wringing over the debt when W was in charge and doubled it. We could also cut some conservative favorites from the budget, like the War on Drugs. Your guy, Barack Obama, campaigned that he was going to change all that. Obama pledged that he would cut the deficit in half by the end of his term and that he refused to leave our children with a debt they cannot repay. Obama also said, ... "and that means taking responsibility right now, in this administration, for getting our spending under control.” That didn't happen.
Obama also accused Bush of being unpatriotic for driving up the debt $4 trillion in his eight years as president. Barack matched that in just 3.5 years. Obama also criticized Bush for leaving us a nearly $10 trillion debt and that the share of the debt for every man, woman and child was $30,000. In just 3.5 years under Obama, our debt is nearly $16 trillion, and the share of that debt for every man, woman and child has increased to $51 trillion. Your guy, Barack Obama, didn't deliver.
Our unemployment rate still remains above 8%.
Increasing taxes on the wealthy, (anyone earning over $250,000 annually according to POTUS), will net $85 billion per year. It only takes Washington a little over eight days to spend that amount, not enough to make a dent in the $16 trillion debt.
We could also cut some liberal favorites from the budget, like defunding Planned Parenthood.

Let me repeat, since you seem slow to comprehend, Obama is NOT "my guy".
He is not a progressive. He is a centrist and accommodationalist who threw liberals under the bus the moment he walked into office. We don't have "a guy" in Washington. We have the fascist party and the milquetoast moderate party.

What you never do is answer my simple question, "Would you trade the economy we have now for the one we had in December of 2008?"
W. Bush wrecked the economy about as badly as it's been since the Great Depression. Republicans stonewalled and sabotaged Obama's efforts to fix it. And now they have the gall to whine about how he hasn't fixed it fast enough?
And furthermore, what Romney/Ryan (or Vulture/Voucher) has proposed will increase the debt while wrecking the Middle Class further.
But you don't want to listen to that because your knee jerk reaction to whenever I point out what a dismal failure conservative policies have been is "...but the Democrats...".

Here's another quote from one of those evil commies who wants to raise taxes on the rich.

I find it incredibly ironic that the Republican party still idolizes him, but his policies would be liberal to them today.

Well, since you are obviously dead set on making yourself look like a moron, let's compare shall we?
Planned Parenthood = Less than $300 million from the federal government & that is if you use the loosest definition possible, which we know you will.
Quote:Planned Parenthood’s 2008-2009 annual report states that it received $363.2 million in "Government Grants and Contracts." (See page 29.) That’s about one-third of its total revenues for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2009.
However, not all of that money is from the federal government. Planned Parenthood’s government funding comes from two sources: the Title X Family Planning Program and Medicaid. About $70 million is Title X funding, Planned Parenthood spokesman Tait Sye told us. The rest — about $293 million — is Medicaid funding, which includes both federal and state money.
Military spending = $1.4 Trillion
Do you understand what "order of magnitude" means? Not only are you not comparing apple & oranges, you aren't even using fruit.

You Republicans really hate women, don't you? ....I keep rehasing because you have a hard time understanding that Bush isn't the president right now.
If Obama's not your guy then don't vote for him. Vote for Jill Stein. She's closer to your political views.
Again, it may come as a shock, but Bush isn't the president. Obama's the president....as far as which economy I prefer, I want the one Obama promised. The one he promised to deliver before the end of his 'first' term.
It's you Democrats who don't give much regard to women. Unlike you Democrats, we think that women have more depth than just believing their issues are confined to the uterus, like jobs and the economy which Obama has failed to deliver.

But hey, I say cut everything.
Reagan's speech:
The bus driver pays 10%, a millionaire pays 0? Yup, lets raise that to 10%, I'd be cool with that. It's a shame most of your republicans are just as 'big government' as the democrats, only they'd propose increasing taxes on the bus drivers to pay for christ and killing.

You should know that politicians are pretty much professional bullshitters.
However, DP has already explained. It was something that I was going to bring up, but I noticed he already had:
