Rupert Murdoch on NJ GOV

Rupert Murdoch on NJ GOV
The asshat who "didn't know" about employees of his media empire were invading the privacy of just about everyone, said that NJ Govornor Criss Christie needs to be out in face with Romney for the final push.

Who knows if he will, but I think Christie is seeing a sinking ship, doesn't want to jepordize the help he is getting, doesn't want to alienate the democratic state that ellected him and may be thinking about 2016.

But I really find it funny that when you look at all the people that endorse Romeny you come up with tons of narcissistic scum.

Karal Rove, Donnald Trump, The Koch brothers, and now Murdoch.

Christie, who has gained several points in my book, spent the day touring devastated parts of NJ. I don't think he gives a flying fuck about Romney at this point. He has decided to deal with the reality of the disaster which will consume the rest of his term instead of republicunt fantasies.

I agree. he clearly has more important things to do than worry about this election now. It's his state and his job, after all, and he's sucking it up and doing it, instead of wasting people's lives playing political games, and I admire that.

Heh. Someone was telling me to watch out for an October surprise that could make or break this election. In the last election, there was the housing bubble bursting and the subsequent Bush bail outs. This time, the hurricane may have been the October surprise and Obama has handled it amazingly. It really puts the Republican party in a tough spot; right after a disaster, our national reflex is to automatically support the president in charge (remember, just after 9/11 Bush had a 90-something approval rating), but they can't do that if they're going to stump for Romney. So if they do what's kinda expected of them right now, they can't support their party or their candidate; if they try to support Romney, they're going to look like assholes. And meanwhile, Obama gets to promote his own accomplishment without even having to really go on the attack. Sandy could cost Romney several swing states, especially Pennsylvania; I have to think the people of Florida is paying attention to this, too, since Hurricanes are kinda regular down there and you look a lot better to them if you can handle a hurricane well.

He seemed to get worse and worse ever since 9/11.

Before that, he wasn't too bad. I mean, he wasn't my choice for president, but his biggest move before then was his stem cell compromise and I applaud how he handled that. Then 9/11 hit; right afterwards, I still didn't really support him but I was willing to put that on the back burner for the moment, simply because ther were more important things to deal with. Unfortunately for us, Bush took that as a signal that he should take a hard right with ALL of his policies and he drug the entire Republican party with him.

The last republicunt I ever voted for was John McCain in the 2000 NY primary because he was running against Bush. I thought Bush was a piece of shit from the word "go."
