I don't want to play games. Call yourself Christian or Elvis or what you prefer. In the English language, words have specific meanings, but if don't accept them, I'm not going to debate with you.
It's not that important anyway. Christian or not, your morality is entirely subjective and arbitrary.

In fact I referenced (no interpretation required) the Bible without opinion in a manner that unequivocally destroyed your ignorant assertion that your book wasn't clear regarding Jesus dying for everyone's sins. You have likely read the passeges I referenced, but continue to ignore them knowing that your argument is fucked. (Hebrews 10:10-12 if anyone cares).
2 Peter 2:1-4
New International Version (NIV)
False Teachers and Their Destruction
2 But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves. 2 Many will follow their depraved conduct and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. 3 In their greed these teachers will exploit you with fabricated stories. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.
4 For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them to hell,[a] putting them in chains of darkness[.b] to be held for judgment;
Footnotes:
a.2 Peter 2:4 Greek Tartarus
b.2 Peter 2:4 Some manuscripts in gloomy dungeons
I've included verse 4 so you can see an example of the heresies that have been introduced. (unless you assert that Greek myths inserted into a Jewish-based religion makes sense?)
Human sacrifice is pagan and the Bible instructs the reader to not worship God the way the heathens do.

Why the fuck do you offer Bible spam as an answer to my refutation of your original claim, knowing that my refutation simply referenced the same source (no interpretation, no direct quote, no 'reading' into it, and certainly no creation of my own christian theology. For fuck's sake, the argument is so clear that I didn't have to reference a specific language or version)?

Uh, because you use it as a source of knowledge for argument.

There is reason to believe in either of them. They're all arbitrary claims who don't deserve to be trusted. We're basically arguing about fiction now.

Next Christian to answer my points please.
You had to go and fullfill my prophecy, huh? lol
And while I admit to fucking with you on my first post because of how you worded the OP, I am, and have been, quite aware of the "plot". Aside from your desire to ridicule Christians, you wanted "proof?" of why any of your points would or would not be believed (why you were wrong). I gave you numerous reasons why I didn't agree with your #3 and you gave me hearsay and denial of a belief in God for your reasons why you did not believe #3... If you're not willing to debate the topic with some sort of intellectual honesty, then you ARE a fucking troll, you do know that, right?
I have one question for you Gooders...
What or whom decides who is to be considered a "Christian"? I.E. The Bible, The Pope, You, etc... (we're going to play the "True Christian™" game...)
.
To answer your question: The word Christian is simpler to the word fish, as that it has a come link (fish only swim in the sea) and Christians believe in Jesus as there savour and lord, everything else is completely diferent. You are not a Christian if you deny Jesus any way you slice it.
And as far as I am concerned you are the angry troll. Not once have I insulted you or been deliberately dishonest. I am after all young and only human.
"Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by the rulers as useful" - Edward Gibbon (Offen misattributed to Lucius Annaeus Seneca or Seneca the Younger) (Thanks to apophenia for the correction)
'I am driven by two main philosophies:
Know more about the world than I knew yesterday and lessen the suffering of others. You'd be surprised how far that gets you' - Neil deGrasse Tyson
"Sometimes I wonder whether the world is being run by smart people who are putting us on or by imbeciles who really mean it." - Mark Twain

Someone else has already posted a definition for "Christian". Did you bother to read it???
Christian
n.
1. One who professes belief in Jesus as Christ or follows the religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus.
2. One who lives according to the teachings of Jesus.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So, show me how I don't fit that description, mmm'kay? Any one of you are welcome to try...

Does that mean an atheist could be a Christian!?!
...I'll answer that:
Christian
wikipedia Wrote:A Christian ( pronunciation (help·info)) is a person who adheres to Christianity, an Abrahamic, monotheistic religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus of Nazareth as recorded in the Canonical gospels and the letters of the New Testament. "Christian" derives from the Koine Greek word Christ, a translation of the Biblical Hebrew term Messiah.[1]
Central to the Christian faith is the gospel, the teaching that humans have hope for salvation through the message and work of Jesus, and particularly, his atoning death on the cross 1Co 15:3 and resurrection 1Co 15:4. Christians also believe Jesus is the Messiah prophesied in the Hebrew Bible.[2] Most Christians believe in the doctrine of the Trinity ("tri-unity"), a description of God as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. This includes the vast majority of churches in Christianity, although a minority are Non-trinitarians.
The term "Christian" is also used adjectivally to describe anything associated with Christianity, or in a proverbial sense "all that is noble, and good, and Christ-like."[3] It is also used as a label to identify people who associate with the cultural aspects of Christianity, irrespective of personal religious beliefs or practices.[4] So, Christian as an adjective could mean 'Christian values', without being theistic. However, to belong to the religion of Christianity, noe must adhere to the definition above.

Seriously man, I thought atheists were supposed to be logical thinkers...
I accepted the definition as posted by someone else and you have to play semantics now? Fucking wiki, you are classic... What's even more ironic is that your posted definition only supports my assertion that I'm a Christian (bolded above by me).
Try again?
