Reject a treaty on rights for the disabled.

Well your senate does seem to reject alot of UN treaties.

Each one of those red states gets to elect two asshole senators.

That adds up.

Maybe one day, I will look to the US and think "The people of Europe are backwards and crazy compared to them, I should emigrate to the US."

The U.S. gave the world a shining example of a democracy and constitutional government (with nods to the French, and acknowledging that the U.S. got a mulligan for their first attempt).


It's been all downhill ever since.

What really bugs me is that said treaty is to affirm the existing ADA as being in sync with the UN equivalent.

We already have stringent laws on the rights of the disabled.

We begun this process during George W's reign for a UN equivalent of the ADA.

And now it's being rejected, despite already being in full force via the ADA.

Politics and facts do not mix.

And of course, Rand Paul voted "no." Truly the turd doesn't fall far from the asshole in that family.
