Please.
Well, I have to imagine I'd be better off with Germany in charge. I just can't imagine the people of Texas would be willing to accept being owned by a nation that has strong unions, universal health care and most the people don't even speak English.
Me, I'd be thrilled. Things get to fundamentalist-style fucked up, I just pack my bags, go to Europe and watch America devolve into a third world theocracy.

Quote: WASHINGTON (AP) - Confronted with a revolt among the rank and file, House Republicans abruptly put off a vote Thursday night on legislation allowing tax rates to rise for households earning $1 million and up, complicating attempts to avoid a year-end "fiscal cliff" that threatens to send the economy into recession.
In a brief statement, House Speaker John Boehner said the bill "did not have sufficient support from our members to pass."
We're so screwed. A house divided . . .
Germans, you may have New Jersey.
The majority of the 'fiscal cliff' is just getting rid of the Bush Tax cuts, which liberals were opposed to in the first place. We outta just go over it, our deficit is out of control and keeping taxes low doesn't make sense.

And since Holland likes to show off with his clumsey understanding of economics, France might also be added to that list.
Just aswell as Italy, Hungary, Rumania, and Bulgaria might join in on living on our taxmoney.
So if we have to bail out the US, could we at least have Virginia and Hawai?
How about you occupy us for a time under a "Martial Plan" and assist us in putting together a functional democracy. We could use the help to rebuild our nation that had been so thoroughly fucked over by the recent radical right wing administration run by jack-booted sociopaths that had alienated the world with their wars of aggression.
The worst of the war criminals should be brought to Nuremberg to stand trial for "crimes of war, crimes of aggression, conspiracy to commit aggression and crimes against humanity." German leaders, aware that not all Americans are bad people, could help us to not only be reborn as a free society and responsible member of the world community but also to reform our culture away from war glorification, militarism and violence.

Oh right, poor Germans, having to lend money to Portugal and having to receive all that interest money that we have to pay at the cost of our economy, with children starving, schools having massive budget cuts, healthcare being thrown out of the window, labor being cheapened, unemployment going over the roof and all that jazz your generous great people is doing for us.
FYI, the only country that had a bailout was Greece, all others had money lended to them with interest being charged, so stop pretending to be martyrs. But don't worry, in time this mockery of a "Union" will come to its predictable end and problems will get to the mighty Germany. Then you have to pay for your arrogance and self importance when you have noone else to trade with. Enjoy your moment, 'cause it won't last. Noone lives alone in this world and countries are analogous to people, they won't live alone.

Sorry Kichi, if someone is showing nationalistic ideas is TGAC (I wasn't refering to All Germans, they won't all share his views). It was him that gone with the derrogatory comments on how other countries have clumsy understanding of economic and others are living off German tax money, something that it isn't true, since others are paying the money lended to them with interest.
But what do I know, I am on the P of the so cutely dubbed PIIGS
ETA: Ooops, I skimmed oner the "teutonic" part, so I thought I thought you were saying that I was being nationalistic, sorry, you may spank me now

Ooooo!! A spanking!!
and after the spanking!!?
Yeah I know LP. Teutons tend to be rather nationalistic in their views....not too many notches from religious. It's just the way they are...aka they think the world would fall apart without them.
You and I know better but there you have it.
