Well, which one is 'superior' is up to the person... but mammoth's toughness would matter only if someone was attacking him with a boulder of infinite damage +1. Honestly, for moving the rock of immovability +3, bull's strength is more effective at every level.

You're always being subjective, everything is. You know that.

It remains that, mathematically, your chances of survival or lifting would be better fitted to spells designed for the task.

At the very most, it only denies an absolutist version of omnipotence that almost nobody believes in in the first place. The question could really be asked this way: "Can God make square circles?". Most theists I've talked to believe in a version of omnipotence in which God can perform every action that is logically possible.
The question is as rubbish as "Can God make square circles?" but the semantics behind it is valid, as its actually all originating from the omnipotence paradox. Then we start going down this whole "Types of omnipotence" bullshit. You're either all-powerful, or you're not, there is no "in-between".

For this reason the "omni" labels are self-defeating, self-contradictory terms that carry way too much baggage and should be prohibited from modern use.

Which is not all-powerful. A magical all-powerful genie should be able to create another genie who's more powerful than the original. If the genie is bound by reality, by the laws of logic and physics, then its not all-powerful, just merely a powerful genie.

Omnipotence is a frigging useless word.

And, actually this thread can go fuck itself for all I care. I fucking hate arguing over arbitrary labels and semantics. >.>

Superlative terms like Omnipotent and Maximal Being etc are very important if you are ranking beings for the purpose of a discussion about deities.

That is what atheists here are doing right? Telling us foolish theists all about the way things are. (Preachy, atheist counter-apologetics.)

How can atheists disbelieve in a certain type of Being if they cant even get their head around the concept of a Higher Being that can do unbelievably omnipotent stuff?

The Gospel of Bruce, well, I suppose that's an upgrade from the bible, so, have at it.

Tibs....tiiiiiiiibs...see what happens when you try to make the whole thing sound a little less idiotic? Someone comes along and says "no no- I worship the nut-god, you've got him all wrong, all this sane bullshit"

BINGO!

The only way this concept as a claim works is because the person has already swallowed "He can do what he wants". Well yea, it does work when you let your brains fall out. But not only modern use of the word, but any use, because the myths of the past were not true even back then.

The Omni god claims have so much baggage no passenger airline would let them on board.

I can't tell if you're being satirical or not.

The purpose of apologetics is to defend a position. Atheism is technically not a position, it makes no claims, its not a world-view, there's nothing to defend, it barely qualifies as an "ism".
