Christians of today are veering away from the angels and demons found in their storybook, not to mention even cockatrices. Why can't science detect these? Why haven't we found Cockatrice skeletons? Why can't science detect the demons inside people today that the church still yet exorcises?
If angels walk among us, at so many pastors claim, why can't atheists detect them? What "magic" do they use to hide themselves and why?

Why won't demons and devils show their face and prove to us their supernatural power? What do they have to lose in doing so? Why would they delight in torturing us when we don't tow god's lines? Aren't they fighting against god?

The Cockatrice may not be a full on 12ft raptor, but it could have been one of it's last relatives. The point is: 'even if a rose is not call a rose it will still smells as sweet..

Who's to say Demons (non physical) haven't been renamed as well? After if they all present a certain way, can be tested and respond to stimulus in a predictable way they qualify as legit "science" and can be categorized anyway "science" see fit. Meaning they can be taken out of the realm of magic and dismissed as common place. I've said this before, Just because we have changed the labels of what our forefathers described to us does not mean they can all just be dismissed. Removing the mystery does not mean angels and demons disappear.

Don't the cherubim have 4 faces? A cherub, a man, lion and eagle. (eziekiel 10)

In Hebrews 13 we are told some angels (the ones sent to interact with us day to day) look like everyone else. This would be consistant with the angels that even visited Lot in sodom.

How is my answer not an awesome answer? It take what is recorded in the bible and what 'science' claims and seamlessly puts them together. The only thing that has to be sacrificed or left behind is a juvenile/Hollywood understanding of how science and the bible must remain separate.
