I'm sorry, but have I and my computer been transported to the high middle ages or something? Where does one get the idea that a demon wants to inhabit one's clothes? What sort of mischief could they do from there?

That's one thing I never quite understood about some theists, was why exactly so many of them outright deny evolution, instead of simply incorporating it into "god's plans", as they do everything else.
The theory of natural selection, which implies an exclusion of god, sure, they can't exactly claim that by virtue of its exclusion of intent, or as they like to call it these days, intelligent design, but just the phenomena of evolution on its own is perfectly suitable to be incorporated into the column of "Stuff God is responsible for".

Because it messes up their doctrine of sin. In their mind, death and suffering are inherent in evolution. God wouldn't use evolution because it involves death which is evil. Thus God must have brought everything into existence via some way that doesn't involve death and the only way that is is special creation.

This way you have God creating a perfect world with no death (which entails no evolution) so he can still be all good. Then man of course wrecks it all.

Religious fanaticism and senility is never a good combination :-)
