Thats more or less it. They don't care. We are here, they reason, and the egos of the Creationist and Evolutionist - neither of whom are any more sure about the matter than the other, or them for that matter - can waste their life speculating about it.

Knowledge about the universe can be good you know. There will very probably always be mystery because there's always more to learn. But its very interesting and - I think - for humans to try and learn things about the universe. And this includes how consciousness works and the origin of life and the universe. It includes everything. There's no harm in testing as long as no one takes it as gospel.
Knowledge can be good. I think its ignorant to 'not care' about the origin of life and the universe. We don't have to completely 'live in' the mystery to experience mystery. Because I think there will always be more mystery. Part of the wondering is in the discovering and learning. Any thinking.
And I certainly don't think that just because evolutionists strongly believe in evolution and creationists strongly believe in creation that they are on an even footing fact wise. Evolution has a lot of evidence. Creationism has zero. I'd say that factually evolution has the upper hand. And not by a small margin either. By a very large margin indeed.
To quote Richard Dawkins: '...when two opposite points of view are expressed with equal intensity, the truth does not necessarily lie exactly halfway between them. It is possible for one side to be simply wrong.'

It's silly to even talk about creation and evolution in the same paragraph, as though they are on equal footing. It's like comparing a computer with an abacus.

I disagree, an Abacus is accurate.

I agree. But if you are referring to me, I was saying that they are certainly NOT on even footing. I was trying to explain something to Daystar.
