For the logic impaired...

Just make the girl go to the doctor and have them open up her lady parts which hurts, use metal claw looking thingies to pull down on her uterus to straighten it hopefully not ripping it, insert something that may or may not have long term side effects or cause an internal allergic reaction, and send her home in tears and pain for hours. Problem solved! Sounds way better. Looking at it that way, I'd take the shot. I'd rather be subject to pain than my partner. RE: For the logic impaired...

Lol I wouldn't look at life that way for long, it'll make your head hurt For the record I'd never make my partner get that shot if my life depended on it! Nope.
Just require medical douchebags to administer some nice happy gas for the women when they get that procedure done and we're all gold You know come to think of it: they do a Lot of shit they shouldn't do, sans happy gas. I literally had my jugular in my neck cut open and a tube inserted at the risk of bleeding out, as a scheduled procedure: and come to find out I actually COuld've had anesthesia but they were being dicks. Fuck Doctors!
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!
Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite. Dead wrong. The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment. Quote:Some people deserve hell. I say again: No exceptions. Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it. As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong. "Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."
-Stephen Jay Gould
Just about....but there are some things you don't admit to -precisely because- something sharp is pointed at your testicles.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Ok, but I still don’t see how you justify abortion in those cases by merely appealing to saving the life of the mother. The life of the mother argument seems to be something only tossed out by those in the pro-choice community as a red herring. The fact of the matter is that the overwhelming majority of the over 50 million abortions conducted in the U.S. were for contraceptive purposes. That’s the relevant issue at hand. I'm not saying that it should be done because of the mother's life: I'm saying that because it affects her life; it's her choice to make. Again, I say, I don't support contraceptive abortions... I don't really support abortion at all - I don't like it. But it's not my choice to make and I can see that it's not fair - or morally right - to force a woman to have a child that she did not want (and had no control over - rape), endangers her life, or will birth a child with an extremely poor quality of life. Apparently babies are worth more to society than the free orphans sitting in the legal system. Why couldn't they just setup the system a different way? Abortion is murder.
