RE: Locked in the dogma
Quote:apophenia...................the Capgras delusion...............

Gee, i did not know i had the Capgras delusion syndrome.
Tomorrow i will go to the local witch to see if she can heal my disease.Thinking

In the meantime i keep on rely on my yoga and make sure i did not spend the last 40 years doing so much hard work for nothing..
I usually do things that give real result.
Yoga make me feel so much better and the more i practice and the more i feel better but of course it must be your CAPGRAS syndrome that trick my brain into believing that i really feel better.

Anyway if i can't share with you the beautiful feeling that i feel by practicing yoga then i would like to give you a recipe to make a vegan pesto.
I am sure you will lick even the spoon.
Pine or macadamia nuts.
Capers drain of liquid.
Basil leaves.
For every 100 gr of nut put 10 gr of capers and 20-30 gr of basil leaves.
Let them go through a champion juicer or similar machine and yummy, the sauce is make.
You can keep it in the fridge for a few weeks.Tongue

Can i become your friend so you may share with me the gold?Thinking

1) My brain is above my pineal gland. My eyes are roughly at the same level as my brain. This is because I have human physiology.

2) While I indeed use my eyes for collecting light information about my surroundings (when I'm not using them for other more sinister purposes, which I am not at liberty to divulge here, of course), my brain is much more than a simple information storage system. As a general rule, I use it to process all the information received by my senses and correlate it with stored memories and experiences, along with my own inbuilt personality. In other words, I drive my own vehicle.

3) How long do you think your seven glands would function if I were to detach your brain?

I hope you understand I don't really care at this point.

Excuse me? I don't need to swear to make myself heard. I don't usually pull rank like this, but I submit that my reputation rating at the top right there plus comments made in threads such as this one are testament to that. When you can point to a single example where I have used expletives purely as a means to make a point, i.e. without provocation or duress, then you may cast stones, angelface.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Stimbo..........1) My brain is above my pineal gland. My eyes are roughly at the same level as my brain. This is because I have human physiology.[/quote]

You see!
You say..........my brain......my eyes.......
It is like to say.......my car.......my vehicle that I use to survive and prosper.
In other words is just how i said, the brain and eyes are not the real you.
You are confusing the driver with the vehicle.
To be connected for a lifetime mean absolutely nothing.
It is like when you enter a car for a period of time and then get out at the end of a run.

Surely you drive your own vehicle so as i already said you are admitting that your brain and your eyes are not the real you but a vehicle that you use to go ahead.

Not long at all but what this has got to do with what we are talking about?

Ah, shit. Stimbo said "fuck." Arguments DENIED!!!
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

You are confusing the driver with the vehicle.

What if the vehicle is the driver? To separate the two concepts is to say that the one can exist independently of the other. Until you demonstrate that this is a true representation of reality, all the rest is pure fantasising.

On the contrary, it means a lifetime of experiences and hopes and dreams. Put another way, life. The only one we can possibly know for certain that we're going to get.

Really? What then? Do we get to drive another vehicle? In fact, what's to stop us from switching vehicles whenever we feel like it, à la Grand Theft Human?

Well, bugger me sideways, I used a colourful English interjection!

However, I reiterate:

Quote:When you can point to a single example where I have used expletives purely as a means to make a point, i.e. without provocation or duress, then you may cast stones, angelface.

(Bolded for your viewing convenience). In your example I was provoked into irritation by some random idiot whose name escapes me for the moment.

Quote:Stimbo..........What if the vehicle is the driver?

That is not possible.
Since when something that answer your command is you!

Quote:To separate the two concepts is to say that the one can exist independently of the other.

Not at all Stimbo.
The driver can exist without the vehicle but the vehicle can not exist without the driver.
Have you ever seen a car moving without a driver or a body living without a mind and a spirit?

Quote:Until you demonstrate that this is a true representation of reality, all the rest is pure fantasising.

NDE experiences tell you that this is not fantasising.
Not one or two or 100, but each and everyone who had a NDE experience tell you that there is life without a body.
Even those who did not believe before are admitting this reality.

Sometime the life seem never ending especially when we are struggling and suffering then all of a sudden when we look at the years past we realize that our present life is gone in a flash.
The time is very tricky. In fact the time in the real dimension does not exist at all.
When you are happy the time can go so quickly that it can come to 0 so when you are stuck to the material-physical reality you can not conceive that this is possible and therefore you tend to glorify this reality as the real one.

Some people would like to keep on carrying on with creating a bad karma for themselves but there is a limit to evil.
They surely will get a new body but it is likely to be a body of an animal or an insect.
Luckily they are not those who decide in what body they will go next.

That's ok with me. I only pointed out this to you because you point out to me that it was wrong to scream as writing a sentence in uppercase.
In other words to me it would not make any difference whether one use uppercase or swear (not a swear direct to a person as Minimalist does).

I never said that you did it in order to provocate as does the Minimalist.

Now you two are arguing over the analogy and not the original point anymore.
