Before you get too excited, know I am talking about the new movie with Seth rogan, Joahna Hill etc..

Spoiler alert:
Not that it is a big seceret but this movie speak on the topic of the end of the world, not just an end to the world but the Revelation's end of the world senerio.

I want to start by saying to truly get all of the enjoyment out of this movie as possiable one has to be stoned, as there are alot of Only funny when stonned jokes. Eitherway it was ok for what it was. However I did see a few major plot points, That was not consistent with a biblical view, on how to survive the Last days. The movie protrays a Pre-tribulation end of the world view. Meaning that the 'church' will be raptured (Taken away) before the wrath of God is poured out on the earth, and Satan is allowed to do his thing. (which I am not here to discuss or argue)

All I will say is IF This is how things play out then know That all members of the church or rather people who will Go to heaven will be taken away. Either like how the movie protrays or How I personally think that we will just all die in close proxcimity (time wise) to one another. (I think the rapture will look like business as usual meaning everything will be explained away, as to follow the current no proof of God campain.) But if you do find yourself with an awareness of what is Going on like the guys in the movie, then know it's not about making the gestures they made. (one super good act to out balance all of the bad stuff.)

According to revelation that time of hardship (3 1/2 to 7 years depending on your end of the world view) is meant for the last of those who can be saved, the push they need to be saved. Meaning same rules apply on God's end. (Faith, Confession, Baptized where possiable, and a life dedicated to what you believe. Meaning Love God with all of your Being and love your neighbor as yourself.)

This however does not mean that being a Christian will be easy in a devil run world. It maybe completely outlawed like it was in the beginning with the Roman empire.. Which could mean a very bad death for all believers. (something the guys in the movie were spared when they did their deed.) Know post rapture earth will be a satan run empire and will not be an easy place to live out your 'new' faith.

If I am in that bunch I would make my proclaimation and turn into my fate if the situation would allow ASAP. (Meaning start preaching from a street corner.)

How do you reconcile being a Christian and smoking pot?

A morally perfect being (if that's what you believe) couldn't bring it about to end the world. That would be an action that would send some souls to hell, which can't be a morally good thing ever, given the monstrosity of the concept of hell.

I spent the first 1/2 of my life as a non Christian.

Well, this "morally perfect being" invented Hell in the first place, so I don't think it would be hard for him to send souls there for eternal punishment.

Again the defination of Morality equates to little more than self righteousness. Meaning Morality is what you say it is. Because God is not subject to your idea of Right and wrong God can not be judged by your standard of morality.

Besides that God does not make any biblical claims to follow Man's Morality. God makes the Claim that He is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the END. Which means He does what He wants when He wants, which includes creation, and the end of all things.

Again Man's morality means nothing more than his own version of Righteousness. As God is not subject to Man's moral asperation, Man's morality is not a viable standard in which to Judge God.

Being an archer of Gondor in the embattled towers on the side of the river is no fun when a Nazgul is dropping stones on your head.
