Yes, they are outlandish, and your projecting certain negative attributes onto all women is farfetched. If you insist this is justifiable, you have a long bumpy road to recovery ahead...assuming you even care to 'recover'.

The problems I have with your 'observations' is that they are too general. Some problems you see with women fit some persons, but does not cover all women. And men are culprits of those things you mentioned too. There's an element of truth indeed, but rather try to apply your criticism towards the individual, not the gender. Not every woman is (like) your mother.

Captain,

You have specifically referred to the fact that what I've said about women is negative. Also, you're talking about my comments being about all women.

I'd like you to answer me some things.

1) Why do you so specifically have a problem with negative comments about women?

2) Why did you say that I'm talking about all women, when you know that I have obviously made it very clear that I'm making a gneralization?

Kayenneh,

What's wrong with a general observation? Do we not use general observations all the time in order to sum up patterns and tendencies? The issue here isn't whether or not it's a generalization, since we generalize all the time. The real issue is, are the generalizations ones that are commonly found to be true?

For example, if there's an explosion somewhere near a crowd of people, most of the screaming will come from the women, not the men. Generally, men don't scream in such situations. They tend to express their shock in other ways, but it is women who generally scream. We all know this.

And this is what I'm talking about. I thought this was supposed to be a forum for people who like to discuss topics candidly and with sincerity, instead you're all so shitscared of the truth and you hide behind political correctness. What's the matter with people here? We all know that women and men are largely very different. It's the elephant in the room but you're so shitscared of it.

I also notice that when anyone makes a negative generalization about men, no one says a thing. Or when a positive generalization is made about women, again, not a peep. But as soon as someone makes a negative observation about general female characteristics and behaviour, everyone is all up in arms. That's hypocrisy.

You seem really invested in being right. That makes it a dishonest discussion out of the box. Most here are smart enough to not waste their time.

Don't confuse disagreeing with you with being shitscared of speaking the truth.

It's not about political correctness, nor is it an inability to recognize men and women have differences. The problem is that you're using these differences as a justification to have a negative attitude towards one and a positive towards the other. You're ignoring the positive attributes of women and the negative attributes of men, and then you righteously claim to speak the truth about men and women as if somehow the truth was something that can be reached without half the facts.

That is an issue that society has to deal with, not a defense for disliking a group of people based upon generalizations. You see people as their gender, rather than all of the traits that make the individual. There are shitty men and wonderful women out there, but you'll never see it with your blinders on.

Sure, but as one individual being your gathering of data is only within a very limited part of the world and no one calls you on your own confirmation bias (e.g. if you think women cry all the time, you'll be sure to see more crying women than you otherwise would).

The issue is with the generalization, just because we do it all the time does not justify you applying nothing but criticism towards a person, just because of her gender. And no, the generalizations you described does not ring true to me.

We all know this? Proof, please.

Quote:I thought this was supposed to be a forum for people who like to discuss topics candidly and with sincerity

We are sincere and candid. Just because most don't agree with you doesn't mean that we're less frank or honest.

Quote:instead you're all so shitscared of the truth and you hide behind political correctness.

What truth, what political correctness? You're an idiot for hating based upon your generalizations. This has nothing to do with women, this has to do with you being narrow-minded and wrong on top of that.

Quote:What's the matter with people here? We all know that women and men are largely very different. It's the elephant in the room but you're so shitscared of it.

Yes, we're different, what of it? That was not the discussion, don't shift the goalposts.

And you generalize. Again.

Let's see this list of yours. I'm going answer all your observations, if they describe me or not.

Try it out yourself, how many of those fit you (and how many fits your mom). I think that if even more gals of the site would answer, that you would see a clear pattern to how things really are.

RE: My misogyny
I am trying to find a great site about "gender roles", because women are certainly not respected as much as men. Not as much as they should be.

I mean, just look at religious nations. I mean whole entire fucking countries where a religion is in the majority of the people.
