A true Christian

Something I have been wondering about since many Christians often make appeals to purity is what is a true Christian?
What does a true Christian do?
What does a true Christian believe?
To-morrow, and to-morrow, and to-morrow,
Creeps in this petty pace from day to day,
To the last syllable of recorded time;
And all our yesterdays have lighted fools

According to them a true Christian will never doubt and/or walk away from the faith. According to common doctrine, they hold to the principle in the faith known as the preservation of the saints they are also known as the elect. The names and definitions vary semantically in minor ways however the basic premise remains. So to sum up the belief, they believe that a "true Christian" will always be in tune with the holy spirit and his soul/heart is 100% dedicated and loyal to Christ. So when a Christian "deconverts" they often refer to them as being luke warm the whole time, or not believing with all their soul. It is a method to basically limit the amount of deconverts who were strong Christians, like myself. I was a strong christian and good apologetic and gained a lot of respect from the atheistic community, when I deconverted I was told I never was dedicated which was offensive to a person like myself.. If the christians here read this I am sure they will respond in that predicable manner.
I would be a televangelist....but I have too much of a soul.

A true Christian is always the Christian you are talking to at the time.

Wouldn't you need a true Christ to determine who is or is not a true Christian?

There's no such thing as a true Christian. Protestants don't think Catholics are true Christians, Catholics don't think protestants are true Christians, the Westboro Baptist Church doesn't think anyone but themselves are true Christians, and other Christians don't think that the WBC are true Christians. Ask any of them if they're true Christians and they'll affirm it, but ask other Christians who disagree with them and they'll say no.
Or if we're going to argue that there is such a thing as a true Christian, then it's someone who exemplifies good, moral, Christian living, but as soon as they fuck up and do something bad they're no longer true Christians.
Christian apologetics is the art of rolling a dog turd in sugar and selling it as a donut.

Just about every true Christian believes he alone is the true Christian while other Christians are not true Christians.
How to find the true Christian among so many false ones appears to be quite the daunting task.

They're flatulent assholes who love their stink so much they just have to share. Of course, when some other asshole does the same, they pucker up with indignation.
