The problem I have is that I just can't take Hell seriously. To me, it's like being threatened with the Avada Kedavra spell, or being on Santa's "naughty" list. I for the life of me can't see why anyone feels fear over it (except gullible small children). Try taking Santa's list seriously and you'll know how I feel. You just can't take it seriously, right?
I can't figure how a god who loves me would condemn me- or anyone- to eternal torture. I can't think of anyone bad enough enough to deserve ETERNAL torture. It's a punishment totally disproportionate to any crime- especially the crime of just not being able to believe in something. I could fake it (which is what Pascal's wager comes to), but if there really is a god, he'd know that, so why bother faking it?
I can see how an evil god would do such a thing, but even in that light I just can't get there. It's too fantastically counterintuitive. I'm more interested in spending the one life I know for sure I have well and fully, and finding good reasons for my actions.

What description of hell have you been feed to believe it's not bad. You say that you would met with interesting people and have literature to enjoy. You need to hear something closer to the truth, one can't read in the dark, one can't speak with others, they'll to busy complaining about their situation they made for themselves. Hell is a place full of hatred, selfishness, contempt for God and others, sadness, and ect. Also breakfast is not served in hell or any other meal, loneliness is a thing each will be able to enjoy in hell.

Well actually that depends. You see since hell is only seperation from god, that won't be so bad since god never provided a meal nor does light come from him. Of course I was just going by the description given by snow tracks.
