Now saying a woman is pregnant for 9 months like it means something is just silly. A pregnancy usually lasts between 38 and 40 weeks - neither of which are divisible by 9.

For the number of minutes in a day, 1440 the first question is - is it divisible by 9? Why, yes it is 160 times. We know therefore, without looking that the digits will add up to 9.

All the other numbers quoted are simply multiples of this number. Any multiple of a number that is divisible by a factor will, in turn, be divisible by that factor:

86,400 seconds in a day = adds up to 9 (minutes in a day * 60)
10,080 minutes in a week = adds up to 9 (minutes in a day * 7)
525,600 minutes in a year = adds up to 9 (minutes in a day * 365)

None of this is either magic or surprising. It will work with any variables - if there were 10 days in a week, 11 weeks in a month and 234 months in a year the result would always be divisible by 9.

Its also worth bearing in mind the selectivity in the numbers:

60 seconds in a minute (not divisible by 9)
60 minutes in a hour (not divisible by 9)
24 hours in a day (not divisible by 9)
7 days in a week (not divisible by 9)
52 weeks in a year (not divisible by 9)
And so on a and so forth.

Using a different base system seems to be something strange to the (now departed) OP...
Computers only use base 2, or binary. And everything we see on the screen is previsouly converted from base 2 to whatever base we wish... usually base 10 (decimal), or, for the geeks, base 16 (hexadecimal). IT depends on what you're looking for.
Each base can represent any number, but just under a different representation:



The number 9 as a significant number....
I see your 9 and raise you three 3's, because 9 is 3+3+3.
If you do math a bit more, a 3 is three 1's, because 3 is 1+1+1.
That means that 1 is the one true number.
There is only 1 god.
