Abiogenesis is impossible
RE: Abiogenesis is impossible
Nice - so we've come full circle to solipsism.

Sweet.

It would indeed be crazy to rely on intuition for all of our knowledge, which is what you are describing above. But the reason we know more today is not because we just happened to evolve to be more skeptical. We've simply been using the tools we've been given to continue to learn more about our world and our universe. So far, no god.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

Massive non sequitur notwithstanding, this of course is why the basic atheist position is not "no God". Or would you equally conclude that the belief in the existence of gods can't be relied on for guidance?

And did you seriously just equate "God" with religion with a straight face?
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

So without this revelation there'd be no reason even to suspect this "God" exists? Sounds fair to me.

So, we've gone from solipsism, to "the bible proves that god exists because god says he does in the bible!" Have you just given up any hope of ever being cogent, and just started a parade of fallacies, now?

More openly, I mean. You've always been stuffed with fallacies.

book of biblical scripture says Joshua fought the battle of Jericho and the walls came tumbling down; book of nature says he did not.

book of biblical scripture says the Israelites migrated out of Egypt; book of nature says they did not.

book of biblical scripture says a global flood occurred; book of nature says it did not.

book of biblical scripture says that sin is transmitted by the flesh; book of nature shows no biological mechanism for the transmission of sin.

book of biblical scripture says we have an immaterial soul; book of nature says we have no such thing animating us, only biological brains.

the subject of the 'spirit' is a good example of why duel revelation is needed. without scripture, mankind wouldn't know about such things; having a spirit gives mankind a conscience, and knowledge that they are eternal.

And the bible proves the bible because bible!

You aren't even trying anymore. Circular reasoning, the end. Next!

that's why both books are needed. but even having the one book, God is clearly revealed. there are non-scientific reasons why people don't acknowledge that.

no naturalistic model exist that demonstrates a origin-of-life scenario that involves assembly of dna, rna, proteins, and membrane structures (which has the capacity to control fluids that enter and exit) in such a way to yield a viable cell. in fact, it not even being pursued any longer because the complexity is too overwhelming.
