Now I ask you once again, what would you consider to be evidence for God's existence? What would convince you?
I'm pretty sure that you have a big fat zero when it comes to evidence.
I don't care for philosophical proofs. I want concrete evidence that everyone, if they were being reasonable, would agree that it is indeed evidence for the existence of god.
Got anything like that?

I have no evidence that cannot be explained away by someone who is unwilling to accept it.
That is my point and that is why I asked you to provide me with an example of something that would convince you personally.

Fixed that for you.
Well I grew up a believer and didn't get to the point where I realized I was an atheist until I was about 31. And I've been on atheist forums off and on debating theists for about 7 years. So I'm highly doubtful you've got anything original that I haven't heard a dozen times already.
How about you tell me what you personally find most convincing?

I respectfully ask you to quote my entire sentence instead of taking part of it, holding it up and saying: "Fixed that for you".
What I said was that I have no evidence that cannot be explained away by someone who is unwilling to accept it.

What you say and what you mean are sometimes different. That's why I fixed it for you.
Calm down, pudding pop. Everyone can still read your original post.
So what's ya got?

I have nothing in the way of evidence that cannot be explained away by those unwilling to accept its implications/conclusions.
You can lead a horse to the water, but the horse will only drink it if he is thirsty.

Real evidence cannot just be explained away. Sure the occasional nutjob will try to do that, but they're just lying to themselves.
I'm not in the habit of doing that. That's why I'm no longer a Christian. If you present real evidence I won't just blow it off.

If you deny evidence, maybe it's because it's not concrete. It sounds more like your offering an opinionated conclusion that could easily face a rebuttal, but instead you insist to just blindly follow and accept it as truth.
It's not just faith/religion I have a problem with just accepting, but everything in life that has a faulty argument.

Of course real evidence can be explained away. Humans possess great imaginations.
But Rahul, since you are persistent I do want to help you. First I want you to clarify for me what your worldview is. Are you a naturalist? What I mean is this: does your view of reality allow for the existence of the transcendant or do you rule that out a priori?

I am like you then. I have a problem with faulty arguments. I detest them.

Hypothesis has it that the Jewish bible was totally a political work. Compiled primarily when said political lobbyists were in 'exile' .... They came back, put the whole guilt trip onto the population and the rest as they say is his story.
Up until the 'exile' the writers had no idea of anything. Babylon and Mesopotamia came as a bit of a shock.
Just like you all like to say - anyone can come up with a hypothsis. That and a hundred others.
