I did because I have chubby fingers and I wanted to lose weight by typing every day.

I joined because I'm barking mad. Then they put me on staff. Go figure.

While I have friends who have been atheists their entire lives, I like this "community" here because I can gain objective opinions. And my friends and I, when we get together, we don't spend our time discussing our insights on atheism like we do here. This site has been such positive for me in many respects. {{{group hug}}}

Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura
It was a long time ago. Who can remember?

I sometimes wonder if there might be some value to a "Church of Reason: All the Fellowship and None of the Dogma". It could perform milestone of life rituals like marriage or funerals without attaching any supernatural meaning to them.
Atheist Forums Hall of Shame:
"The trinity can be equated to having your cake and eating it too." ... -Lucent, trying to defend the Trinity concept "(Yahweh's) actions are good because (Yahweh) is the ultimate standard of goodness. That’s not begging the question" ... -Statler Waldorf, Christian apologist
Since I am home a lot due to living on disability, I decided to join a forum. Every forum has a main topic, and I had a feeling atheism would turn up a laid back place for me to chill.
