Why Christians Attack Evolution

Aww, aren't you adorable. I'm the only atheist in a Christian family with a brother in law and a father with a PhD and an MD, I'm quite used to having my beliefs questioned boyo.

The burden for the veracity of your God is yours, evolution is a scientific theory not a casual theory and if you reject even that much then there is no conversation here because you are not rational. If you cannot accept that we descend from other species then go bury yourself in your bible and leave the talking to the adults.

The burden is not mine to bear, you refuse to accept scientific fact. If you cannot accept the work of those in the field of science, then the burden is yours to bear to prove them wrong. You're up to bat little man and we, those who subscribe to rationality and science, are waiting.

I subscribe to both. I just do not worship them as you do.

Nice dodge. Are you going to beat around the bush or are you going to disprove the theory of evolution and accept your Nobel? If not, then kindly move on.

Do you have some sort of learning disorder that prevents you from retaining new information?

It's already been explained to you multiple times why you've mischaracterized what evolution states, and why empirically testable theories repeatedly verified by observation do not require "faith".

You seem to have extreme difficulty grasping basic principles of science, such as the difference between an hypothesis and a theory, what empirically verifiable means, and even the concept of testability.

If it's not a learning disability, it seems you're simply so dishonest you ignore reasonable and well supported objections, and repeat your original claim back like a parrot.

That's referred to as intellectual dishonesty, and frowned upon greatly in all academic areas.

Ahh, the old ad hominem....

I love them.... in fact they are delicious! It tells me you cannot attack my argument so you have to resort to attacking me personally.

I will leave you with a word from Old Hitch himself:

Believe whatever you wish. It doesn't bother any of us, really. But, please don't insult us by using religion to refute science and then scold us when we call you out on it.

Dunno

You have a burden whenever you say something that you want to be taken as more than just your opinion.

I do not attempt to refute science. I like science. I just do not worship it as a god and kneel before the men who speak on behalf of it.

lol No one here worships science. It just is. It doesn't require anything from me to exist. It just is.

Your 'god' needs YOU, your imagination...your belief...your faith...to exist. You breathe life into the very God you worship.

But, you question evolution.

The truth is, I could provide you with numerous links and ''evidence'' that you seek from me, and you still will debate me. Because your religion has caused you to refute uncomfortable truths.

Why would I want to disprove it?

I question the belief that we owe our existence to a colossal accident. I question that because it is questionable to me.

If it is not questionable to you then fine. You are a woman of greater faith than I have ever met.

Barrow and Tipler are simply wrong in their views on the anthropic principle and clearly out of their depth on evolution.

Craig is a dishonest buffoon. Have you never watched any of his so-called 'debates'? He doesn't debate since he doesn't listen to or respond to his opponents' arguments.
Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.
Science is not a subject, but a method.

I am open to wherever the evidence leads. I can be far more objective than the naturalist.

My relationship with God is not going to be affected in the least bit by affirming or denying evolution. God is still God. Whatever way He chose to bring about the existence of mankind via special creation or evolution, He did what He wanted.

Yes, saying that we came into existence by numerous, highly improbable events that can be proven to have happened takes more faith than a magical being that cannot be proven to even exist invented the entire universe, that on just one of the billions upon billions of worlds there is just one species among millions that currently exist on that one tiny planet that the magical creator of everything is super concerned about how they act and what they believe.

This is what you have decided is a more logical conclusion and takes less faith to believe.

Science and the bible don't mix, but hey if you need a sky-daddy that badly then have at it, just don't expect anyone outside your faith to take you seriously. Angel
