So you're a cherry picker, got it.
They all are. That's why it's a trite book of nothingness used to support bigotry, racism, sexism and the like.

I've said it before on other threads;
I think it's pitiful that people believe that a god would communicate to them through a compilation of book that should be left to the interpretation of others. It lacks consistency and perfection, two things that one should very well expect from a fucking 'perfect' god.

Exactly.
Sadly, it is a book that preaches division and hatred. Man created a god that he could use as a scapegoat for alienating people that don't think like him.
We shall call it...religion.
Part of why I left Christianity was because I found myself not only questioning the logic of the Bible, but also its "moral lessons." I'm accepting of all people until you do something to prove to me that I can't trust you. The Bible teaches to alienate people based on a set of criteria, and it's just flat out wrong.
I wish religion would be wiped out. :/

A debate might happen? Where have I heard that before? Each of these multi-page circle jerks yield diminishing returns, and I'm beyond bored with discipulus's toolbox of standard dodges. Now he's giving us Craig? What a fucking joke. If I feel like spending time with a sophist, I'll read Plato. Wake me in twenty pages when the current debate negotiation falls through.

That depends: are we going to see the same endless negotiations beforehand, or will we eventually reach some kind of actual starting point?
seeing as diplodocus appears to aspire to be like WLC, you can imagine it is in fact WLC and and have a great laugh at all the silliness.
Wait, is WLC even real?

I'd just be happy to get a straight answer as to why he's conflating improbability with impossibility. I really do hope his argument on this issue goes deeper than that, but, well... WLC...

Unfortunately.

I recognize the Bible is a compilation of various literary genres and keep this in mind when reading it. The same way you approach different types of genres when you read.
You also said science and the Bible don't mix. Is this just your opinion or what?
What about all the Christians that disagree, take it literally, and furthermore would have you cast down to hell for not espousing the bible as a literal manual for life?

Evidence? And if you provide evidence, how can you prove that it is trustworthy considering you can't trust your senses...or something.
There, I've done his side of the debate for him.

What do you think it is?
At minimum, a compilation of an assortment of various ancient writings comprising upwards of ten different literary genres.

Isn't that the same as a collection of stories? I don't understand the difference here.
