Much in the fashion of Thomas Paine you are following. He concluded that if God wanted to author a book it would have no flaws and if he had to give a message to the world he would do so himself.
I love religious texts and I use them a lot but they are not truthful in the slightest bit. Much like philosophical works or theological discourse I regard them as the same.
Quote:IF you believe someone, or something, or some angel is looking out for you and hears your petition, and it is not making you bigoted, judgmental, or self-righteous, it can be very healthy, lead to a change of heart, and a better life. I believe some people do have a relationship with a higher power (GOD) but not the Religious fanatics and bigots.
I could not agree more

Therefore God is good.
Doesn't show that God is good either. Also good can't exist without bad is complete bullshit.
Yes it does. So your logical objection can be reduced to "oh no it isn't".
The bible doesn't agree with the Qur'an.

When you're doing stuff that enhances life, you're in heaven. When you do stuff that harms you, you're in hell.
Fr0do, I'm actually glad you say this because it's a far more sensible interpretation of the Christian message IMHO. But c'mon, do you really believe this is how most of the New Testament writers interpreted heaven, hell, and salvation...as merely spiritual states that only apply to our presence on Earth?
I know that's what they're saying, yes. But not "only" for our presence on earth.

Non believers in this sense are those that reject good. So of course they deserve just punishment.
That's different to those lacking belief, because they aren't rejecting good.
Are you saying there exist Nonbelivers and People who lack a belief? Aren't they one and the same?

Wouldn't you agree that one denies God and one has no intentions about God either way?
How can you be rejecting good if you didn't realise it's presence? In law ignorance = guilt. In true justice, ignorance is innocence.

Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."
