Suffering is something which evolved so presumably it is advantageous. Why do you want God to eliminate something advantageous?
There is a good case for pain having evolved. It clearly is useful.
Suffering? Do you mean prolonged pain?

My point is that there is different kind of pain. He says diseases are designed to kill us. So we must be killed by them. So if we must be killed by them why give us the pain from it? Besides why the fuck would he make diseases which can be cured if they are designed to kill us?
This dude ain't making no sense.

Also how is getting old better than being young whole life?
Most animals are young their whole lives and get killed off(relatively instantly) before they grow old. Humanity is no different. In the Neolithic if you hit 50, you were a very old person....a rarity.
It seems the God set things up exactly the way you want it....but pesky human ingenuity...we had to muck it all up.

No, it seems no god set anything up.

Actually, disease and mutations of viruses were a part of evolution, an adaptation component.
Heywood, why would God create imperfect people...and expect them to keep his 'perfect world' ...perfect? Makes no sense anyway you slice up that story.

I am arguing that the existence of death, disease, pain, suffering, is not a good reason to conclude God or even a good God does not exist.
I'm not interested in arguing that God made people imperfect and the world perfect...and expects people to keep the world perfect. That is not my position and I see no need for me to defend it.

But in your above post, you indicate that man 'mucked it up.' Mucked what up? Perfection?
That's the only reason I brought it up.

Mucked up Tor's idyllic world.
It just so happens that the first human being's world was very much like Tor describes it should be if a good God exists. A world in which few if any ever grow old and death often comes swiftly.
Human ingenuity is responsible for prolonged life and in many instances, prolonged sickness.

I always get "His way of thinking is higher than ours" and "We could never understand god's plan"
